The hotel.is wonderful. Check-in staff were extremely pleasant and friendly. They offer luggage storage and can accommodate anything you might need. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The only complaint is that they are extremely strict with the 'no take away' policy, meaning you cannot take anything from the breakfast area. If you are in a hurry and want to make a sandwich to go, it is not allowed. It is not even allowable to fill a water bottle. We witnessed several situations where the staff was so strict that they even made people dump the food or water in trash rather than taking from the dinning area. The constant monitoring made it a bit uncomfortable . Otherwise, the hotel is great and perfect location.

Breakfast option was not good. Air conditioning went out one night of my stay. Staff was very nice!! The room was very neat and clean. It was however noisy, especially since I was right next to the pool.

Great location let down by a few things, one brown bath towel to be used as beach towel which does not get replaced each day, ripped sheets, uncomfortable beds, ants in room, mould in shower and around fixtures, lukewarm water only in shower not hot, pool bar shut and defunct, not operational at all, pool tiles missing, no umbrellas around pool, staff not exceptionally helpful, very disappointing to spend hard earned money here, would not stay again

Only good thing about this hotel was its location. We booked 2 rooms for our family for 2 nights. First night was terrible, because one room smelled like sewerage and toilet was constantly clogged. Hotel staff unclogged the toilet twice, but the stench didn’t go away. We asked to switch room but we had to wait till the next day. We contacted the hotel booking website assistant to help, when the hotels.com called the hotel, the hotel staff told her that the manager was not there and that I would have to wait because he would come tomorrow, and told they already solved the problem, which was a lie. They didn’t do anything about the smell. We opened the balcony, turned on ac, opened the door and waited to get rid off the smell, nothing worked, and the smell gave us headache. We couldn’t stay in that room that day.The next day when we came to the reception desk to ask switch room, the manager was the manager from the previous day. they just lied to hotels.com and they also didn’t give refund for that room. We requested that smelly room’s 1 night refund, but the hotel said they couldn’t give refund because of the policy. and in reality, this hotel is not as shown in the photo and description. Room were dirty, towels and bed sheets had spots, furnitures were old and not clean, bathroom looked dirty, shower was bad. This hotel has 3 blocks, and there is only one reception desk and hotel staffs there where helpless. There are much better options in Karon with lower or same price.

The staff were friendly. In a great location with either the pools or the beach at your fingertips. For the money it’s great. Breakfast, clean rooms daily and towels.

This was a gteAt place to stay. Nice pool, the only thing is the beds are very hard. Much harder than even European beds and they are HARD!!! That’s all I would change!

A great hotel in a very handy spot for the price
WE had the pool access room, there are only 4 pool access rooms and if you had a small group you would have the whole area to yourselves. It is a great setup. the hotel is in a great position, the buffet breakfast is okay but not awesome. The staff are friendly and helpful and there is a mini mart on site.the beach right across the road and 3 swimming pools at the hotel.

This is a resort used Russian travel agency Pegus in an area of Phuket frequented by a lot of Russians, but contrary to previous reviews they were a nice, friendly group. Breakfast was delish, the staff was wonderful, and the room was nice. Very close to the beach, but go inland a bit when looking for food/drink. The road along the beach is expensive.

Location was definitely the best point
Overall we didn’t have a terrible stay but don’t think we would stay there again. Rooms were presented ok. Bed hard but comfortable, nice view of the mountains and Big Buddha from back balcony and room was clean so I’ll give them that. Shower was terrible though, no pressure and sometimes wouldn’t heat up at all plus had a bit of mould. Breakfast was basic but not terrible, ate out a bit just for a change. The main thing that annoyed me was that the hotel advertised to have a pool bar plus a swim up bar but when we arrived it had neither as were both conveniently closed for renovation. Not overly thrilled by that as was 1 thing I was looking forward to but pools were nice for a swim.

Very dirty and helpless staffs
Only thing good about the hotel was that it was close to beach. Other than that hotel staffs where rude and helpless. They didn’t receive our booking in the first place and ended up putting us in a smaller room even tho we told them that we paid already for bigger room. They told us rooms where full so the only available room was the small room( which was a lie ofcourse). We couldn’t cancel our booking due to expedias policy and ended up staying 3days. The bed sheets where sooo dirty that it smelled and also had lots of dark spots. Our sink was clogged and we told the staff to check it up but no one showed up. Also our room was on top of the pool so it made really loud machine sound during the night that we couldn’t sleep at all. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel at all.

Home from home
The hotel has a friendly atmosphere, the room are clean and functional. Breakfast was included and is of a high standard , perfect location for a great holiday for all. A few minutes to Karon Beach. There are plenty of good quality restraunts & local out door BBQ food stalls too, suitable for all tastes. Sea food is plentiful and well priced to cater for all. We all enjoyed our stay and the location, well worth a return visit.

Staff not as friendly as other places I've stayed. A hotel very geared to accomodate Russian tourists. Even the tv had Russian voice overs on most channels. Overall though a reasonably priced clean and comfortable place to stay.

Booked a double delux room in this hotel the room they gave us was in the last block of hotel with 2 single beds, cracks right up walls cracks in all the tiles and not very clean. Went to reception to ask about our delux room they gave us another room which was exactly the same with double bed. Balcony was covered in rust and not big enough to sit out. Breakfast was disgusting luke warm food which we tried once. This hotel is like going back in time and we wont be booking it again.

Russian tour operator only hotel - best avoided
This was the worst hotel experience I have had in Thailand. The hotel is set up to service only Russian tourists. I would advise that if you are not Russian stay away from this hotel. Even the staff will make it clear that you should not be there. The promised cable tv is mostly russian channels. Even the available Thai channels dont include the free to air channels. During the stay 1 Thai channel was replaced by an additional Russian channel. The reception staff were somewhat rude as well which is very unusual for any hotel in Thailand. The towels in the room were replaced on 2 occassions with towels that were dirty. We abandonded the hotel 1 day early. The reception staff at that point didnt care why, the only relevant item was that they would not refund the extra day, which i hadnt ask them to do anyway. There are much better options in Karon and alot of those at a lower price. This hotel is a rip off. Apart from that its close to a nice beach it has nothing else that it is good for. The bed is also very close to sleeping on a board as it is so hard. I could provide further details that made the experience unpleasant but i think i have said enough

Park and beach hotel, good for family vacation
There are many hotels in this area, Baumancasa stand out for location, family friendly and easy access to both a small park and beach. The price is very attactive and service is good. One of the best value for the money and services.
