Fantastic hotel. Perfect location. Very trendy hotel , very stylish. Even the elevators were touch driven. Had apple macs in each room , very stylish rooms - with big glass bathrooms . Had a pool access room - was like having a personal pool . Hotel has over 11 pools for every pool access rooms. Simply amazing

“Staying there next time!”

The hotel is wonderful: great location, beautiful rooms, helpful staff & excellent breakfast... but what makes this place more special than others is its modern look, the astonishing black tile pools in different levels and the views. We had a room with direct access to a pool shared by only 3 other rooms, amazing view over Kata & the beach and 100% accessible by lift. Guess we were spoiled... We'll definitely stay there again next time!

“will deffinately go back”

Hotel was amazing amazing amazing, this is all i can say, one of the best hotels we stayed in Thailand, get a pool access room and you might be lucky enough to get the exclusive infinity pool which overlooks the hillside. well worth the money, bathroom was stunning, excellent value for money!

“Sugar Palm Hillside Was Terrific”

“Planning to go back again!”

After reading several reviews of the hotel online, we were all a bit skeptical. Traveling as a group of 6 we booked 3 rooms, all of which had a breath taking view of the island, and were all located close to clean swimming pools. We stayed for 9 days and the walk up to the hotel from the beach wasn't at all bad. The staff were extremely helpful, the rooms were clean, modern and comfortable. We were provided with guides to Phuket's attractions. There's a great cheap and satisfying restaurant right across from the hotel with both Thai and foreign foods. The hotel is no more than a 5 minute walk from a 24 hour 7/eleven, and other seafood and pizza restaurant. The beach is one of the nicest on the island, hassle free, clean and child friendly. The hotel satisfied us all greatly, and we can't wait to go back. Superb value for money.

“Absolutely perfect”

The best hotel ever. Nice, medium size hotel, very modern. It might not be convenient for elder people, because of the steep hill. It is very quite, just few minutes walking from the city centre, shopping, restaurants, beach. I would recommend the Mali restaurant, right at the corner. Perfect food, absolutely delicious. Go for Thai dinner (Wednesday) , all u can eat just for 400bath. You can try all thai specialities. Its worth it. We would definitely come back to this hotel, there was nothing we can camplain about.

“Loved it!”

We had a great time. We were there for 10 days and were sad to leave. The hotel has a great view of Kata Beach (which is far better than the other beaches around), and the location is fantastic. The staff were incredibly helpful and everything was very clear. We were on one of the upper floors, but once we found where the elevators where, it wasn't a problem at all. We definitely plan on going back to this hotel.

“CAN'T WAIT TO RETURN NEXT YEAR”

Sugar Palm Grand is extremely well located just up from the main Kata restaurant strip and beach. The hill is manageable- just ask for a room on the second or third levels on the left hand side of the resort viewed from the lobby. There are two lifts due to the hillside location. The first is for 4 floors. The second is around 75 metres walk ( flat) and covers another 6 levels. The last 3 floors are reached via several 30 metre, 30 degree angled concrete walkways and basically for the young and fit guests. Rooms here have great views as they are at the top of the resort. Anyone up to 80 years of age can navigate the lower and medium levels( 10 or so) serviced by the two lifts. The breakfast is good and extremely good value.The rooms are cleaned very efficiently and the staff are pleasant and helpful. This is the best value for money hotel in this part of Phuket. Room service charges for drinks and food are very low and great value. As a recommendation to the management, maintenance of room fittings like taps and toilet holders etc should be actioned soonest as our room had several loose fittings in the toilet and bathroom/basin areas. External concrete facings were in need of painting and rendering repairs due to the high level of salt air corrosion. Overall we could not fault our stay with lobby access to 4 computers free of charge plus free room wifi. Next year we will spend at least 2 weeks at SPG rather than 8 days this trip.
