A high-ceilinged, air-conditioned lobby converts to an open-air room in appropriate weather at the Westin Kierland Villas – Scottsdale. The courtyard pool complex beckons all ages with family, adult, and children's' pools. Guests can enjoy snacks and beverages at the pool bar and stay connected with complimentary wireless Internet access.
A fitness center with steam and sauna rooms, a casual cafe and market, and a 24-hour self-serve business center are also available. A kids' club (surcharge) entertains children ages 4–12 with arts and crafts, movies, and other activities.
Guests enjoy full access to all facilities at the Villas' partner property, the Westin Kierland Resort & Spa, a quarter-mile away, with complimentary shuttle service between the properties.

Rooms
This Scottsdale resort offers residential-style villas in seven two-, three-, and four-story earth-tone buildings with elevators. Air-conditioned villas include fully equipped kitchens or kitchenettes and stacked washer/dryers. Each villa has a balcony or patio with cushioned teak chairs, a teak cocktail table, a bench, and a ceiling fan.
Stylish decor includes granite countertops, maple cabinets, contemporary art, and a pottery or glass objet d'art in a lighted niche. High-speed Internet access is complimentary.
Villas feature Westin's signature Heavenly Bed: custom-designed, foot-thick pillowtop mattress with all-white bedding; triple sheeting; down blanket and duvet; and five pillows (two goose down/feather, two hypo-allergenic, and a decorative “boudoir” neck roll pillow). Bathrooms contain showers with curved rods for extra room and oversized bath towels.
Smoking is not permitted inside the villas.

Dining
The resort offers a complimentary wine-and-cheese tasting Monday afternoons. Advance sign-up is required.
McDowell Market & Grill - Outdoor seating at umbrella tables. Starbucks coffee, sandwiches, salads, pastries, smoothies, beverages, liquor, beer, wine, groceries, and deli items. Lunch/dinner menu includes Fried Shrimp with Grilled-Pineapple Salsa, pizza, sandwiches, and salads. Children's menu. Cooking demonstrations once a week. Breakfast, lunch, and early dinner. Open from early morning to late evening.
Pool bar - Snacks and beverages. Open from late morning until mid-evening.
Room service - Available 24 hours.
Recreation
This Scottsdale resort's expansive pool complex includes a 200-foot-long freeform pool with volleyball and basketball nets and 80-foot serpentine waterslide running through an artificial-rock formation; an adult pool shaped like the top of a grand piano; two large spa tubs; a children's pool; and two water-spray areas for children's play. The complex also contains terraced sunning areas with cushioned teak lounges and umbrella tables.
The resort's fitness center includes cardio machines with individual televisions, a strength-training machine, free weights, men's and women's locker rooms, and unisex sauna and steam rooms.
Complimentary shuttles transport guests a quarter-mile to 27-hole Kierland Golf Club, which includes a clubhouse, a practice facility, and a pro shop.
The resort also provides complimentary shuttle service to The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa, a quarter-mile away, where guests enjoy access to all recreation and fitness facilities. Highlights include adults' and children's pools, a flowing-river pool and waterslide, volleyball and tennis courts, a hiking/biking trail, a full-service spa, and a fitness center offering exercise classes (surcharges may apply for some facilities and classes).

“Nice sunny break.”
This is a superb hotel of a high standard set around an excellent golf course. The rooms and facilities are very good, plus being able to use the facilities of the Spa and Resort hotel are a bonus. We had a great ten days in Arizona over Christmas with sunshine every day, although it was cold some days. All the swimming pools were OK for swimming every day and one in the villas is heated. Small points, the one bedroom villas have no natural light in the lounge / kitchen area. The 18% service charge plus the 7% tax makes the restaurant meals a bit expensive.

“Great Getaway”
This is a great place to stay. It is tucked away behind Kierland Commons. This allowed us to enjoy close proximity to many of the things we like in Scottsdale as well as excellent dining & shopping at Kierland Commons. Shuttle service was provided to and from there by the resort. What was particularly nice was the fact that the room had a kitchenette area. It was very clean and well maintained. If you are a cyclist (bicycle) there are two great rides that launch from this area on Saturday morning (Bicycle Ranch - ABC ride and DNA Cycles.) I would highly recommend this destination.

The airports easy and accomadating, car rentals have never been so easy and quick, the area in clean and inviting, the Keirlands are so accomadating, perfect for a quick little get away.

Lovely resort , great golf course and good location for other top courses, excellent staff especially concierge Heather,Shuttle bus driver Jeremiah and Kenny the Barman, good shuttle bus to safeways and kierland commons .Tip- ask the shuttle driver what offers are available at kierland commons for westin customers. My only criticism is that we couldnt smoke on the balcony of our room, dont see what harm that does so long as you dont drop your stubs over the balcony and that you clean up after yourself.

The hotel was wonderful. The staff was very friendly, and the pool was great with that cool slide. It has a full kitchen and super comfortable beds.

My experience at the Westin was terrific. All of the resort's employees were very kind and helpful, our room and view was beautiful and I cannot wait to go back.
