“Not Impressed”
The appearance of the hotel was not bad but the neighborhood was very slummy. My biggest complaint would have to be that our bathroom was not all that clean and the little shampoos and things that they put in your room were already opened and half used. The staff on the other hand was very friendly and helpful. We probably would not stay there again.
“A Place to Lay Your Head”
Nothing fancy, but was comfortable, clean and roomy. I just needed a place to sleep and clean up in between activities, nothing more, so it was perfect for the price! Breakfast was nice too, made an easy morning before heading out!
“I've learned my lesson”
This is the second time I have tried a Travelodge for long-term stay (more than one week) and both times I was very disappointed. The room was standard and what I expected, but for three days of my 9-day stay basic house-keeping activities were ignored. The trash wasn't emptied and the towels weren't replaced; I had to go to the office to get clean towels. There is a lot of 'street business' right outside; not safe to walk to either of the two fast-food restaurants close by. Better to go a few miles east and stay in a safer neighborhood with more dining choices if staying more than one night.
“would never recommend..”
From the start we got a stinky smoking room instead of non-smoking room we asked. There were only two old hard bath towels in the room, looks like these towels were washed and reused over and over for several years, no softness left in them no more. The next day we requested more towels, but were told we had to turn in those used 2 towels before a new ones could be issue, we were shocked that only 2 towels were given when we need 3. The room condition were run down, it badly needed a paint job, the bathroom door doesn't close properly, it has big gap between a door and frame, water tap keep dripping all day long, shower head needed to be replace. Just about everything in this hotel are bad, except the internet, very strong connection. we stayed there for a whole 5 days we booked. the whole time we have to endure the smell of cigarettes.
