Thunderbird Executive Inn and Conference Center offers 134 guestrooms. Rooms feature courtyard views. Beds feature down comforters and premium bedding. Televisions come with cable channels. Complimentary wired and wireless high-speed Internet access is provided along with direct-dial phones, MP3 docking stations, and free local calls. Refrigerators and coffee/tea makers are provided. Bathrooms include showers, complimentary toiletries, and hair dryers. Complimentary newspapers, air conditioning, and complimentary bottled water are also included. Hypo-allergenic bedding and wake-up calls can be requested. Cribs (infant beds) are also available. Housekeeping is provided.
Renovation of all guestrooms was completed in August 2006.

“The only place I'll ever stay in Phoenix.”
If you ever have to stay in the Phoenix/Glendale area, stay HERE! Front desk people are extremely nice. They have a "lounge" area upstairs with a bunch of free snacks, drinks, tea, and coffee. I was told to, "Take as much as you want. Take some to your room too, so you don't have to come back in the middle of the night if you want something." It's on a Business School campus, and the scenery is beautiful. The room was super clean. Bath & Body Works in the bathroom. Coffee Machine in room. Big closet with ironing board, iron, extra blanket and pillows. All around great, professional experience. Wish I could have stayed more than one night. (Make sure you leave the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the doorknob otherwise you will be woken up very early by housekeeping.) P.S. We paid about $15-20 more to stay in this hotel because pretty much all of the others around have a -Pets and Smoking OK-policy. There are no pets nor smoking allowed inside the rooms at the Thunderbird Inn. Just didn't want to run the risk of having to smell stale cigarette smoke or having a pet-stained room.
“Room Mixup”
We had reserved a double queen room, but when we arrived, these rooms were no longer available due to some "problem". The only thing available our first night was a king room with one bed, which meant our 2 young children had to sleep on the floor. (The hotel provided blankets, etc.) We had to accept this since it was late, but said it wasn't acceptable for the rest of the stay - 5 more nights. The next day we were given the adjoining king room for the rest of our stay, but were not charged anything extra. We ended up with 2 king rooms for the cost of one queen. In spite of the mixup, we had a wonderful stay. The staff was helpful and friendly. Free snacks and drinks were provided in the upstairs lounge. This included cold breakfast cereal, instant soups, granola bars, coffee, tea, juice, milk, and water plus many more snacks. The choices varied daily. The hotel is close to many shopping and dining choices, but located on a quieter street and large property which made it seem very private. We would definitely stay there again.
“If you can get it take it.”
The place is like a park or college campus during a semester break.

We arrived late and the staff was very friendly and fast to check us in. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. There were more pillows and additional blanket in the closet, which we switched for the quilt. Everything was in working order, there was also a coffee machine in the room and operating little fridge. It was a good location for what we were there for, easy to go downtown and around. A little bit far from the airport, but we knew that beforehand.
“Good Experience”
This was one of the best motel experiences we have had. The people were very courteous and helpful. The whole environment had a safe feeling compared to many motels we have stayed in near the freeways. Everything was very clean. I have already recommended this facility to many of my friends who will be visiting the Phoenix-Glendale area.
“Great place to stay!”
We didn't realize that the hotel was on a World War II air base. It was really cool! It was very clean. The people that work there were very nice and helpful. It was nice to have the food available at all times. I would recommend staying here. We will stay here again next year during baseball Spring training!
“Friendly and Comfortable”
I found the staff friendly and helpful.The groundswere nice and well maintained. They provided great snacks and kept the supply plentiful. There is a refrigerator supplied with soda, water and juice. I had never experienced this before and found it such a great idea for the guests. Such a simple thing made me very happy and likely to return for this very reason. The rooms are clean and exceeded my expectations.Overall I thought I found a hidden gem
“Service, Service, Service!!!!”
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff was extremely attentive. The service was extraordinary. The common areas were well set and accessible. I would highly recommend this hotel for a quick business getaway.
“A Glendale Treat”
This was the most courteous, helpful and friendly staff my wife and I have encountered in our travels. The hotel has a campus style layout, was quiet and an enjoyable stay. I would stay here on my trips to the Phoenix/Glendale area.
“Unexpected delight”
Great Hotel, unexpected and better than we thought. Great location for Glendale/Peoria area, clean, staff friendly and comfortable room. The grounds are lovely and it's very private, not like most hotels. However, it was hard to find as neither the name nor address is prominent. It is part of the Thunderbird Management Complex as the Executive Inn, not the Thunderbird Executive Inn. Otherwise, please try it. You'll love it.
