“Daniela”
Old hotel but nicely renovated. Great neighborhood near downtown phoenix with lots of restaurants great value for the price.
“excellent restaurant”
The restaurant at the hotel was excellent. We ate there 4 times. The pool area is stunning. The bed was so comfortable! Would go here again
“Awesome Boutique Hotel, A hidden GEM!!!”
We struck gold with this hotel!! The staff was excellent, helpful, full of great information that made our stay in Phoenix so much better. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and relaxing. Very convenient to public transportation and great restaurants and shopping. We Loved it and can't wait to go back!!!
“The Clarendon”
My favorite little weekend retreat for myself in Phoenix.
“Great place to stay!”
The hotel is a remodeled apartment building. They did a great job in the remodel, and rooms are roomy and clean! The restaurant and pool are awesome! Location is a bit out of the way, but for the deal and venue, totally worth it!
“best place for a staycation in central phoenix”
Absolutely wonderful stay. the staff was great, the rooms were beautiful not your modern hotel decor. I will definately go back whenever a break is needed
“Great little retro hotel”
The Clarendon Hotel is a great example of an updated older hotel done WELL. It's nothing fancy, but the staff are nice, its super clean and the beds are fantastic. I also really respect this hotel for being GBLT friendly, Phoenix isn't known for being very gay friendly and this hotel does a great job at being welcoming. Also, Gallo Blanco is one of the greatest new restaurants in Phoenix so make sure to eat there at some point during your stay.
“Not your typical hotel”
I enjoyed my stay at the Clarendon. The hotel was small and definitely off the beaten path, but that was what I wanted. The room was clean and the decor was funky/artsy. The pool was closed for maintenance for a couple of days which was unfortunate. But, the staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. Room service was not an option, but the restaurant and bar located in the hotel was fabulous and hosted a big crowd of friendly locals every day at lunch and dinner. The rooftop deck was nice and the view was great. It was too hot to check out the neighborhood when I was there, but it seemed safe. It was an $8 to $10 cab ride downtown. I will stay again next time I'm in Phoenix.
“Perfect except . . . . . . .”
I love this place. It is friendly, convienient, and I like the restaurant as well. If I had one constructive criticism I would point to the pool area. It is such a great spot; day and night - I think every once in awhile, one of the crew should check it out for garbage. The night we got there, it was about 9pm, it looked like there was a party out there all around the pool's edge - empty drink containers, dirty dishes from the restaurant, garbage. the previous Guests obviously just left their stuff behind. It's such a great space - I just it distracting. Other than that, I love this place.
“Awesome accommodation”
Wonderful contemporary hotel (hip). Owner met us in the parking lot to greet us. When leaving, owner gave business card to call if any problems while traveling. Awesome! Kinda funky place.
