“Excellent Service”
The Boulders Resort was beautiful and the service was exceptional during my stay. I've stayed at other resorts where they shuttle you by golf cart, but at the Boulders they are very prompt and were always polite and accommodating. The room was beautiful and very clean. They used good quality in construction and the bed and linens were great. I also like how they charge a per-day "resort fee" and it takes care of gratuities, among other things. I tried to offer tips to the bell staff and people shuttling me around and noone would take it because gratuities were included in the resort fee (so I didn't have to keep tipping all day). I have already booked my next (business) trip here in a couple weeks.
“Awesome Arizona Spring Getaway”
We were in awe of the beautiful desert suroundings at the Boulders! The staff was prompt , courteous and friendly. The Sonoran Casita was tasteful, private and comfortable. At 25 years old the condition was still very nice ,and clean. Although the water pressure in the shower was weak (maybe a conservation effort) the bathroom was clean and spacious with large tub and separate shower with double basin sink. Breakfast was a treat on the walkout deck. The grounds were wonderful kept with such a naturally beautiful desert environment .The rock formations ,sunsets , dining, spa and golf all made for a wonderful relaxing stay.
“Spoiled in Carefree”
We spent 6 nights at The Boulders and would return in a heartbeat. The setting is relaxing, the staff are courteous beyond belief and the golf was spectacular. We had the pool at the golf course to ourselves every time we went over there as most guests stay around the pool at the main resort building. Be sure to take advantage of the Golden Door Spa - it is first rate all the way !! There's lots of wildlife around as well - rabbits, javelinas, roadrunners etc. to enjoy watching from the deck of your casita. We would love to stay here again soon.
“Amazing Escape”
I have been twice and intend to make an annual visit. The staff are extremely courtesous and friendly. The facilities are clean and modern; the grounds are very well kept. We ate at all of the restaurants. Latilla was fabulous! While the options are limited at the Golden Door spa cafe, the food is very good and the convenience can't be beat. My only complaint is that breakfast at Palo Verde is very expensive; but there is bakery at El Pedregal, which is very convenient and has a wide selection of options at a better price. The Golden Door Spa is wonderful! The facilities are amazing, the staff is well trained and experienced, and it's beautiful. I tried one of the yoga classes and was very pleased with the instruction and the instructor's ability to respond to the range of abilities in the class (some older people, many guests whom she would never see again, etc.). We had a nice walk around the grounds, admiring the different desert plants and wild life (quail, many birds, a bob cat!). The pool provided a great place to relax. You really get what you pay for.
“We are gong back....No kids this time...Highly romantic.”
Awesome quiet place. Spa is very relaxing and romantic. Huge rooms, very secluded. Awesome golf course.
“execptionnel,on y retourne des que possible.”

“my wife will go every year”
It was a fun and relaxing trip
“A great holiday!”
We have just returned from a 10-day holiday, staying at The Boulders Resort. The price we paid via Expedia, meant it was fantastic value - remember this is just before high season. We stayed in a Casita with a great view of the Sonoran Desert. Overall we have had a fantastic stay, relaxing at the hotel and sightseeing. GO TO SEDONA - fantastic place! I echo the comments of others as to the price of food and drink at the hotel - but the quality of the food is very good. We went to el Pedregal to use the coffee shop for breakfast (ok value but plain and average fare) and the Spotted Donkey for dinner once (huge portions - share a starter! - average Tex-Mex meal). Due to the recession a lot of the shops are empty, which is a shame. We ate in the hotels Palo Verde restaurant twice - expensive but a great holiday treat. The room was good quality, rustic and fitting for the desert environment - we had some wild pigs as guests one morning crowding the deck (which is 2ft off the ground) as we ate some fruit and had our morning coffee - cute guys. My wife said the sunbeds at The Lodge Pool were the mose comfortable she has ever used. We have come away wishing we had stayed longer and looking forward to returning, which is recommendation enough for us!
“Can't wait to go back!!!!!”
Wow..we stayed at The Boulders for 4 days during March Break and we were treated like Royalty for the duration of our stay. The staff were extremely helpful and eager (but not overly) to please. The casitas are so private, we felt as though we had the resort to ourselves. The only complaint was the t.v was VERY finciky, they should install some flatscreens. We are already planning to return in the summer.
“Totally relaxing get-away, exceptional value.”
Facilities, service, and amenities all met or exceeded expectations. We felt we were at our own private escape. The location was a little further from Phoenix/Scottsdale than we expected but found the area to have several outstanding resturants. Well worth the cost, exceptional value... You don't have to play golf to enjoy this get-away...
