“Great Place to Stay”
This is not a glitzy, glamour resort, but a throw back with old world charm and comfort. Small sitting areas and gardens are around the property. The restaurant is very good, but a bit pricy, perhaps. The Spa is okay, but the atmosphere there was a bit stuffy. The guys working the pool area were fun to be around and energetic. When they give you a list of local restaurants, tear it up unless you want a big, expensive meal. There are a lot of places near on Scottsdale Road and west on Camelback Road. All this said, we'd go back tomorrow, no questions asked.
“Quickie Weekend”
Very nice small hotel/resort in the heart of the Scottsdale area, close to shopping and restaurants. The service was outstanding and the grounds were very lush. The hotel, though older, has been updated but still maintains its charm.
“The Best-Can't wait to return.”
I can't begin to tell you what a wonderful experience it is to have the opportunity to stay at the Royal Parlms resort and spa. It has become our favorite destination. Everything about this resort reaks quality. Service is their number 1 priority and you can't find better anywhere. We absolutely love staying in the designer casitas. They are private and very cozy. The surrounding every where you go on the property are just absolutely gorgeous and so well maintained. Jose and Brandon at the pool make sure that you don't have to want for anything. When you go to the lounge you don't have to worry about anything. Just leave the ordering to Jason and Jeremy and you can't go wrong. This is just the best experience in Arizona and we have checked all the prime resorts. If it is intimacy and elegance that you are looking for then come to the Royal Palms Resort and Spa.
“Best place we've ever stayed!”
Can't say enough about this hotel. Beautiful gardens and courtyards create the most wonderful ambiance. They attend to your every need, from the valets to the pool staff. Nice bar/lounge at T. Cooks w/entertainment. Ate dinner at T. Cooks one night -- was fine but not extraordinary.
“Beautiful and Luxurious”
This small, well run resort is located on Camelback Road, reasonably accessible to the Biltmore area, downtown Phoenix and Scottsdale. The grounds are simply beautiful, a Spanish style oasis. Our room was large, well appointed and extremely comfortable. The service throughout the hotel was top-notch. Note that there are very reasonable rates off-season, athough be aware of the daily resort fee.
“Royalty”
Hotel Review: The Royal Palms lives up to its royal name with the highest quality service of any hotel I have stayed in. They have a unique strategy of a daily tip which covers valet parking, concierge service, room deliveries, bell hops and cabana service by the pool. All service providers are kind and motivated to make your stay care free and memorable. You have a real opportunity to unwind, relax and enjoy the grounds. The best place in Arizona!
“First time visitor will stay here again”
It was a treat. Unbelievably beautiful resort and grounds. You can feel a sense of mystery & romance here that's hard to explain, but at the same time, it's quite enchanting. The layout, with many twists, turns and secret gardens can be a bit confusing after dark-so if you don't have a good sense of direction, be sure to get a resort map. Didn't see or hear too many children. Great food & drinks. Nice spa experience. Unpretentiously friendly & helpful staff. The Valencia Suite layout worked well for my husband and me. A very relaxing place to get away from it all.
“Excellent. Fully met expectations”
5 Star Hotel. Staff was excellent. Pool area was great. I think they only have 119 rooms so it's very nice. There were quiet a few corp events parties, but that would be expected around the holidays. It didn't interfere with our use of the property. On-site resturant was 4 star. I little pricy, but worth going to one night if you are staying a few nights. Dinner protions a bit small. Breakfast was excellent each morning and was more reasonable, although not cheap. Of course expect the $25 per day resort fee. No one looked for tips on top of that, although I always seem to tip something. Best burger place in the world down the street. The grind! Coal fired burgers in an upscale setting. Great trip, great spot!
“Royal Palms - Wonderful”
Wonderfully quaint and relaxing. Very different than a lot of the large resorts in Scottsdale. Everyone was so helpful and friendly.
“This was the best!”
I can't stress enough how wonderful the Royal Palms Resort was. It was such a service oriented vacation and the staff were supurb. Can't wait to return. The whole experience for the time we arrived to our departure was just the best! We have traveled to many resorts both here and abroad and this was one of my absolute favorites.
