“Can't wait to go back”

I grew up in Scottsdale and went to the hotel as a kid. Then moved to Los Angeles and when we would go on vacation to Arizona always wanted to stay there. So this time we did and it was all and more of what I expected. From the time you arrive the free valet parking guys were so helpful and friendly to the housekeeping ladies were so nice. The property is not a typical hotel it is old time elegant and private. The resturant was wonderful and the service was outstanding. My kids said it felt like home they loved the in door out door shower and all the fireplaces. So wonderful, best location, can not say enough about the property.

Scottsdale fashion square, Old town Scottsdale, Kireland Area and Carefree.Great shopping,walking area and very scenic.

“Wonderful Wonderful Wonderful”

Words can not discribe..... From the room, to the grounds and the service far exceeded anything!!! I wouldnt say it is the best for kids.... But Wonderful and Romantic I would say. Dont let the resort fee scare you away..... for the type of service you get, you would pay 5 times. Did I mention how wonderful it is??? Oh and the service???? This is a place to go to and you dont have to even leave the grounds.

“A True Oasis in the Desert!”

What a fabulous resort......we will definitely return!! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Royal Palms. The service was outstanding...from the guys at valet parking, the concierge who helped with golf recommendations and reservations to the service by the pool. The grounds were beautiful with quaint gardens and water fountains. T. Cook's restaurant was a beautiful setting but the food was below expectations. Can always eat elsewhere! The spa is wonderful and I had one of the best massages ever. Stayed in the Valencia Suite which was nice but the room is pretty dark....didn't matter since spent most of our time outdoors.

“Perfect hotel”

It was our second time to visit this hotel. Everything is so nice and the service is perfect. We had breakfast and dinner at T-Cook, so good ! I think people can spend whole day in this hotel.

“A few things missing ...... but nice.”

Well...... this review depends entirely on what you are looking for in a Phoenix resort. Absolute quiet, slow paced, little to no pulse, where time is non existent etc then this is the place for you. For us.... it was extremely clean, the staff were always there to please but we kept finding ourselves whispering, like we were in a monestary..... just too quiet (not that we are party animals by any stretch). We stayed in a Designer Casitas. Lovely room and gardens but it kind of blocked us out from what we came to see.... the desert and the Camelback mountain (no view of either). Must say.... the Spa is fantastic. In summary..... lacking atmosphere and life.

Area recommendations

Drove to Tombstone (OK Corral)........ absolutely loved it!!! 3 hr drive well worth it!
