“It was OK for the price.”
It was not the greatest place I've ever stayed, but it was OK for the price. It was not a "suite" but a large room with a small divider. I spent a week there while we had work done on our house and it was pretty cramped. There was a small kitchen and a continental breakfast every day, but the Internet service was *not* free. It was difficult to determine if Internet was provided or not. I don't mind paying but I would like to know up front. That can be a major decision point.
“Overall, a good value with the Expedia discount. Close to good restaurants and freeway access. Staff were helpful with directions and suggestions.”
The breakfast area was clean and the attendant helpful. Area is small and can be crowded. Rooms are quiet and a park and walkway are directly adjacent.
“Reasonable, comfortable”
given the nature of an "extended stay" hotel, some of the other guests can be a bit scary :) however, the staff tries to book the rooms accordingly. People who are "living" there are booked into an area seperate from the others, so coming and going disruptions, and the noise they create are kept to a minimum. This particular hotel is bordered by a green belt and makes it quite nice for traveling with pets or getting in some exercise outside a gym. biggest complaint was the vehicle access was a bit limited, had to go at least a mile out of the way to go anywhere because of the freeway access. Certainly not a detriment that staff could control. All in all, for the price, it was well-run and comfortable.
“Feels like home :)”
It was generally pleasant and my family was satisfied with the room.
“OUTSIDE LOOKS BETTER THAN THE INSIDE (BEWARE)”
On arrival the door key didn't work, had to go the office and get another one, got in the room and turned the TV on, within 5 minutes the TV went out, went back to the office and told the manager, I requested another room, which the manager gave me, went to the second room, and the key did not work, went to the office for the third time, the manager called the maintenace guy, he couldn't get the door open, so the manager said she would upgrade my room to an executive suite, went to the room and it look just like the regular rooms, only a little larger, everything in the room was exactly the same, this was not an executive room, I was so fustrated and tired after traveling, I just thought to forget about it and try to make my trip pleasurable, I would never stay here again, the rooms need to be painted, the bed spread and drapes also need to be replace with brighter and some sort of colorfull ones, the ones that are there are very old and dull looking.
“Not Impressed”
Reserved a king non-smoking room for my family and after an entire day of driving arrived to a queen smoking room. Nothing better than your infant smelling like he smoked a carton when visiting family the next day.
“Any port in a storm.”
I had to check in quite late. The night attendant was nowhere to be found, and the phone to call the night attendant did not work. I had to call the national 800 number to find the night attendant. The in-room coffee pot had a chip and leaked. The hotel was very noisy.
“At 10:30 @ night, I arrived to find my door was broken. They had to move me. No compensation”
Nice hotel..easy to get to..comfortable bed, had a full size refrigerater, so storing my food was easy, and they had an icemaker. The lobby was very nice and the location was near walking trails. Lighting outside was not a problem and there was a guard on duty. The problem of my door was upsetting. I was very tired after being in class all day. I had to walk back and forth, up and down stairs and carry my things to another room. I know that problems happen, but they did not even offer to compensate me for all of the trouble. I found that discomforting
“pass it up next time”
not impressed.
“Never again”
I have stayed at two Extended Stay Hotels in other states. It was picked due to the central location visiting for the first time. I have never been so disappointed as with this hotel. When entering the FIRST room, I thought I'd stepped into one of those movie 'flea bag' hotel rooms: the smell hit you as you entered; the floor was filthy (carpet and wood); the toilet was not fully cleaned; the tub had wear 'treadmarks' (literally) and the bed had a sliver of mattress padding under the sheets. The second room was better, but still left a lot to be desired. Due to time constraints and an availability issue with neighboring hotels we stayed. I thought I could rely on my previous experiences with Extended Stay, but I'll pay more attention next time.
