“Lovely hotel”
Great pool....nice grounds...comfy beds...tasteful rooms....mainly a business clientele, which worked to my family's benefit as we often enjoyed the pool all to ourselves!
“This hotel lives up to its name...”
It definitely lives up to its name! It is VERY MUCH like a paradise valley! Gardens & pool area are absolutely GORGEOUS & filled with countless flowering plants, cacti, & palm trees. Every day you wake up you hear the songs of various birds, giving the feel of being in a forest & African safari. There are two pools, a fireplace, a cactus garden, putting greens, many fountains, & foliage that beautify the place, leaving the hotel guest feeling very contented & at peace. The rooms are clean & more than adequate comfort-wise, except for the pillows. My only complaint about this hotel is the quality (or lack thereof) of the pillows. They are those downy pillows that sink & flatten the second you put your head down onto them. It feels like you're not even lying on a pillow at all! However, I have no other complaints with regard to room comfort or cleanliness. The hotel restaurant, En Fuego, leaves something to be desired, however. I think the breakfast buffet is delicious, but I wouldn't recommend eating there for lunch or dinner. The menu selections are inadequate & sparse, yet very expensive. The Loggia Lounge is nice, however, with a big & varied selection of cocktails. The lobby & seating areas of the hotel are very spacious, pleasantly aesthetic, & comfortable. The hotel plays decent 90's music in both the lobby & pool area 24/7. The entire atmosphere of the hotel is very relaxing, comfortable, & beautiful. I recommend it to anyone & everyone.
“great hotel in Scottsdale”
We were very impressed with this hotel. The price was affordable, it was centrally located and had some great shopping and restaurants nearby. The grounds were very lovely and well-kept. It was quiet but had several activities to do including swimming in two pools and a miniature golf course! We would definitely stay here again.
“Can't wait to go back!”
We found the hotel to be very beautiful inside as well as outside. Although there was a mix- up on the type of room we wanted, the front desk honored our request. Thanks for a wonderful time.
“Wonderful”
We had requested a king bed and when we arrived the only king was a suite and they upgraded us to this amazing suite. The only drawback was that it had not rained in 9 mos and rained the 2 days we were there. Can't control Mother Nature. A hotel shuttle will drive you anywhere within 2 miles of the hotel. We went to a steakhouse (Don and Charlies) amazing. The warm choc chip cookies at check in are very tasty too!
“Would definitely stay here again”
THe hotel is spacious, well maintained, great rooms, a terrific value
“very nice I was impressed”
We enjoyed our stay at the Double Tree. The atmosphere was plesant and the stafff was very friendly and helpful.
“One night at a resort hotel.”
We only needed a one night room while traveling and thought to try this instead of a motel. The staff gave us great service and the quiet private park like courtyard was a relaxing place for dinner and breakfast. Will stay there when in Phoenix.
“Can't wait to go back”
My family spends one night at Doubletree Paradise Valley Resort-Scottsdale. We love everything about this hotel. We staid in pool room with balcony and very nice view. Pool and hot tub was grate. We had a feeling that we at 5stars Caribbean resort.
“Beautiful Resort”
We stayed here May 12-15, 2007. I would suggest a rental car. The grounds are very clean. Rooms very nice and clean. Upgraded remodeled bathrooms and extremely comfortable beds and luxury bedding. The Phoenix Zoo is about 5 minutes away and highly suggest. There is much shopping in old Scottsdale and really nice to browse for many kinds of items and souveniers. I believe the resort offers shuttle service. The pool area is so nice and offers private cabanas and has jazucci. There are 2 seperate pools.
