“Fine for the price”
We went into this knowing the hotel wasn't a 5-star and had some poor comments, but we decided to risk it because of the price and location. Anticipating a mediocre to poor room, we were pleasantly surprised. Of course it was dated, worn, stained, and elements of the room and building needed replacing, but our room was reasonably clean, laundry fresh, and except for a few coughs next door, quiet. Weather was hot, and A/C worked fine. I'd stay there again.
“everyone was nice”
The hotel is on the south side of Philadelphia, and not particularly centrally located. It also shows age and maintenance issues. However, the staff of the hotel were extremely kind and helpful, I felt confident of security, and I felt that the staff made their best efforts for my stay to be a pleasant one. The room was clean and kept well-maintained during my stay. There is also a lovely diner across the street, the Penrose Restaurant, where the staff was also very nice. If you are looking for economy, this is not a bad choice.

Nice place really and nice rooms, but room cleaning could be better.... semed to be done too fast.
“Location - that's it !”
If you don’t matter about cold water in your washbowl... about a toilet that flush correctly... And if some dirty strange spots on floor don’t bother you at all this place is for you... The location of the hotel is near the Sport Complex and for that particular reason it’s worth the price... And you're about 20 to 30 minutes from downtown by a little walk and subway !
“Not Amazing, but It Does the Job”
I slept one night in this hotel because I was taking a test in phili the next day so it basically did the job for me. Not noisy. The bathroom was not kept well. The comforter had old cigarette burns and holes but it, along with the rest of the linens, were clean. This is not a hotel to stay in if you're coming to phili for entertainment but if you're there for business and just need a place to lay your head, this place is good enough.
“Skyview”
Best part of the stay was the view of the Philly skyline. To their credit, they did provide a minifridge and microwave upon request for no added charge, but placed both of them right near the doorway and clogging up the entrance. They do not provide coffee makers, hairdryers not in room (but available on request). The room itself was clean, but there was no number sign outside our door, one of the chairs and pieces of the wardrobe were broken and electrical outlets were loose
“My stay at the Skyview”
Customer service was satisfactory.The table in the room was very dirty and sticky. The layout of the room was impractical as there was only 2 feet between the wall and the fridge when going to the beds.
“good enough for the price and location”
For the price you pay it is a good deal. When looking at those who complain on the reviews, it sounds like they expect 5 star quality for such a cheap price: it's not going to happen. The benefit was that it is next to the 17 bus that takes you right downtown. Sheets and towels were clean, bathroom and room were decent. Some amenities weren't in the room that were listed on their site like a refrigerator and microwave but I'd stay again to save the money.
