“Happy”
Hotel was clean, it was in a good location, the staff was helpful, and the room was spacious and comfortable. no complaints.
“Good, if you don't mind hoofing it to Center City”
As a whole, the hotel is relatively old, but has been kept-up well. Compared to similar Center City hotels, it was a good value if you are willing and able to walk a bit (or ride transit) to get into the heart of Philly. The staff, including the cleaning staff, were pleasant and generally did a good job (our room's vacuuming job seemed to be rushed, though it still was not bad).

“EXCELLENT LOCATION, very friendly staff!”
This hotel is located central to the historic district and is within walking distance to several sites. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel had a restaurant, lounge and parking within the hotel which made it convenient and safe. It was an excellent experience and would return to the hotel again for business or pleasure
“Nice winter weekend in Philly”
My stay at Holiday Inn Philadelphia-Historic District was pretty good, overall. I was a little upset with the parking situation. I was not too comfortable with leaving my car on the street and to park in the lot was $22 a night. I was extremely satisfied with the location of the hotel however because it was within walking distance of almost all of the sites we were planning to go to. Our trip was in the middle of February so it was a bit cold out but it wasn't too bad since all of the sites we wanted to see were real close. The hotel itself was very nice and comfortable. They had a program in which we could reuse our towels and bedding which I think was an excellent idea in this time of conservation.
“Can't wait to go back”
The hotel staff were very nice, the rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable, bathrooms clean and the water pressure was really good. (There is nothing worst than staying at a hotel with bad a shower.) The location of the hotel was great within walking distance of everything we wanted to see.
“Closest to Philadelphia Historic District”
This is a great place to stay when visiting the historic sights in Philadelphia (Independence Hall, Liberty Bell, Constitution Center). It is easily within walking distance of all of these. I could even see Ben Franklin's tomb from my room! Hotel and restaurant were well maintained and clean. Staff was very helpful. The only thing I did not like was the heat/AC unit. It was a bit noisy and the room took a while to heat up.

great location great hotel in philly historic district
“Great Location”
We were able to check in early on Saturday, which we did not expect to do but we parked at the hotel and did not have to leave. Very convient to the historic district and great restaurants. Hotel was quiet at night. There was even security at the front door at night. Our room faced a fire station, but it did not wake us. Would stay there again. Great price and value. Cheap parking for a city!
“Definitely would stay here again”
The location of this hotel in the historic district is outstanding. Most historic attractions are within easy walking distance. The accomadations were very good, and the staff and service were excellent.
