Easy to get to from train station. By shops and restaurants but not noisy. Staff very friendly and helpful, clean throughout, beds comfortable. Would stay again.

Feels like you're in the UK
Conveniently located, right at the end of the pedestrian shopping street. Cozy, English old fashioned typ of hotel with creaky floors and lots of stairs and corridors, so quite charming. Very nice and helpful girl in reception. No night staff though.

It was unfortunate that renovations were being carried out during our stay with the workmen starting work at 7 am. Also the lift was out of action for the entire three days of our stay - my husband has a heart complaint so was unable to carry our luggage up the stairs, however the staff was incredible and carried both our cases up to our room and back down again at the end of the stay. It would have been nice if the owners had actually hired somebody to help with luggage as the stairs are steep and awkward and the front desk staff were not really built to be carrying cases up and down stairs. A big thank you to the desk staff for their help.

Everything is okay but the staff who welcomed us for check-in was not helpful and rude. Asian looking face receptionist looked very unwelcoming and we had to keep asking her questions rather than her explaining the hotel protocols. No smile. It was our first time at Perth and it was terrible. However other staffs we communicated were friendly and helpful. Please improve customer service if you are working in a hospitality sector

I have stayed here in the last. And did not disapoint staying here again. Rooms lovely & clean. Reception helpful & friendly. Old school charm love that you still have a set of keys instead of a key card. Lovely little court yard for a breath of fresh air, close to the city not to far. Plenty of dining options available. Excellent for the price. Would i stay again? Yes i would. Also if you have a Netflix,disne , prime or Stan account you can log into ur account 😉.

The staff were all amazing, friendly, and helpful. It was conveniently located to the Hay street shopping area and an easy walk to Elizabeth Quay. The room was a bit small for two suitcases, but we managed.

While relatively clean, sheets had marks on them. The red cushions leached fabric over the bed and there were ants.

I was in my room and when I have to sleep suddenly My next room I can heard people talking, that was terrible, too noisy. I like about the hotel is clean, neat and tidy only the problem is the wall to thin. and the Staff when I checked In not very friendly, usually staff always welcome the guest but her only sitting on the chair and asked me can I have your ID and need to pay bond $200. When I have to checked out, I said I’m checked out and she only sitting on chair and said can I have the key and after that That’s it, she didn’t explain if I’m still get back my bonds money. Your staff not very professional as working in hotel, the worst staff ever I met working in Hotel, not like the other hotel. I would like to stay or extend my stay but because too noisy I moved to other hotel. Thank you Kind regards, Nortje

Last place to consider staying
Do NOT stay here staff unhelpful. Many rooms face very noisy streets with nightclubs and karaoke late into night; every night. I asked to move rooms twice-I will speak to manager-no response. At 2.30am I reported a loud raucous party in next room to night manager. He was excellent and fixed that within 5mins.

Very conveniently located old style hotel . Very clean and comfortable and would recommend as a place to stay. Our room had a small balcony which overlooked Murray St- great for people watching but it came with some street noise as well - solved by closing the balcony doors.

The room was claustrophobic, dated, and badly ventilated so much so I was puffing on my asthma inhaler the entire trip. There is a meaningful transient population in the area, and if not for the (impressive) regular police patrols would have felt very unsafe.

The European Hotel is a very pleasant , clean hotel. Reception Desk staff are polite and efficient. Unfortunately dining facilities were unavailable “ due to renovations” and there is no onsite parking. ‘For vehicle Parking , when booking the “European “ through Expedia a special price deal of $ 18 per 24 hrs is offered if a particular Wilson’ s Public Car Park is selected . This price was actually the Normal Daily cost of using that parking venue , so not a special deal. The hotel is a little bit of a walk away from main social / tourist ,interest areas of Perth City ie The Quay, Theatres, Riverside and historic interests so off the main, well lit areas at evening . However, a very pleasant comfortable, traditional venue and we would stay there again.

Unique Swedish styled hotel in the Perth CBD. Hotel no longer has an operating restaurant. Decor is starting to age and a refresh would be good. Room size and facilities were good. No parking on site but a discounted facility is nearby. Upper floors accessed by a lift.
