“Very average but very pricey”

Chose hotel as stayed previously when it was owned by another group and looking for a weekend base in Perth to save us driving home - also it is in centre of town. Room average size,furniture average but a bit tired, bath very slippery so asked for bathmat - this was provided but also had to ask for toilet flush to be fixed; if it was fixed it still wasn't working very well, window didn't shut properly and paint around panes was covered in black mould, only one electric socket so had to take turns charging phones, worst thing was bed as it was akin to sleeping on a solid board. Every time went to reception had to get staff to come out of back office. Every time went into bar area there were no staff about either behind or outwith bar. Probably just as well because drinks and food were priced at above 5 star hotel rates. Unless you are very rich or your company is paying do not eat or drink here! Take room only if you do stay as plenty of small cafes about to get a really good breakfast in. (Go through car park to high street). Also lovely places to eat within walking distance for both lunches and dinner. Tip:if you are taking your car look out for hotel parking across road from entrance and not just in front of hotel on cobblestones.
