“Fantastic views and hotel”
Our room overlooked the Domme river valley and had a fantastic view. Room was very very nice. Our room even had a small balcony with table and chairs. If staying there, request room number 15 as it is the only one with the balcony. Others have a great view but no balcony. Room included mini bar and large bathroom. Room also has a safe. The breakfast on the patio was beautiful. Quiet and peaceful in the early morning hours. The view during breakfast is also great. The staff was very friendly and helpful during our stay. Room was very clean. There is a large parking lot in the next block that is convient to the hotel. We would definitely stay there again and hope to return. Remember to try for room 15. You will love it.
“Old-World Charm”
Entering the hotel is like walking into another era ! We are "middle income" earners, and so not used to the high level of old-world service; it was very intense being waited on in the restaurant. The room was very well presented; we had a "triple" so faced away from the wonderful cliff-top views. The restaurant was a gastronic delight: be prepared for great (!!) food, great service - but at a high price.
“An unexpected and amazing find......”
Domme is a bastide town and the hotel is located next to the old ramparts, almost opposite the medieval church. Everything about the hotel is of high quality, and The view from the terrace and rooms on that side is stunning! It also has a very good restaurant, although more expensive than you would normally expect from a 3-star hotel.
“Great stay in a very nice hotel.”
Great stay in very quiet room. Make rue you know local phone charges. I assumed since international rates were good for a hotel so were local. Not so much. And very nice breakfast.
“three day stay in May 2012”
confusion at reception over booking but this was quickly resolved, dinner was good quality if a bit expensive, waiting staff good with clear explanation of dishes. housekeeping faultless. view over Dordogne valley from room was superb. Car parking can be difficult as has to be on street.

Sarlat, France: An unspoilt ensemble of period architecture, Sarlat is one of Frances most enticing and photogenic towns. Crowds gather on market days (Wed. and Sat.) when stalls brim with Perigord specialities like foie gras and walnuts. Among its oldest buildings are the medieval cathedral belfry and the Lanterne des Morts tower. A stroll through the pedestrianised medieval core towards sundown is the best way to appreciate its mellow golden stonework.
