“Nice place to stay”

We were there during IMEA State Band/Chorus. Our room was on the ground level and was quite noisy as we were by the pool/pool tables....room was comfortable and liked the fact that the room had central air! The shower was excellent, too.

“Grand Hotel”

This was a good hotel at a good price close to Grand Prairie Mall and Old Chicago pizza.

“Old but ok”

mattress was worn out and box spring on edge of bed was busted so I felt as if I was falling off the bed all night. The pool was nice and the jacuzzi was excellent, overall not bad!

“Lesser quality, You get what you pay for!”

I knew the place would not be spectacular and I can deal with old carpet and old sinks. But I was expecting cleanliness. We found crackers that were not our under the bed and a used lip gloss that was not ours! GROSS!

“you get what you pay for”

Grand Hotel was grand at one time but not now. Rooms were a flashback from the 70's but staff friendly&good breakfast menu. Bed was challenging confortable. Pool & hottub (reason we chose it) were closed due to pool "accident". Price was right but..... you get what you pay for.

“Grand Hotel”

ex-Holiday Inn, ex-Ramada brand hotel showing its age. Minimal maintenance to keep it going. Housekeeping so-so. However,,, if you look at room quality vs cost, then it comes more appealing. Old saying,, you get what you pay holds true here. I'll rather stay at Grand than other low end hotels on same area. Otherwise I consider it the best of bad group

“OK just not GREAT!”

I had been to this hotel years ago for a nursing conference. I do not know how to explain it. The hotel looks impressive in the entry. Outside needs some color as you walk in. Noticed staff picking up drive. Looked nice. Staff was great! But it lacks something. First room air did not work and we had to switch to another room across hall. That was fine! Breakfast first Tuesday am they had run out of coffee at 8a. Need to add just a wire basket of hard boiled eggs. That would add to the food selection and not cost alot. Also had ran out of yogart and even the next day did not offer. Then sausages, and sausage pattys and the rest would make a good selection. The hotel is ok just not GREAT! I noticed like coke had been spilled on one matress. Does not hurt anything but just looks tacky. Bedding though was clean. Hotel was pretty clean but just did not sparkle.I For us we would stay again if in the Peoria area. It is our hometown and for family trips it was fine.

“You get what you pay for.”

Because of a nicely discounted rate, this hotel was still acceptable for business travel. Being an old Holidome, it offered those nice features such as the spacious indoor recreation area, pool, sauna, and a lounge/restaurant. There was no whirlpool, my favorite relaxation features in hotels. However, business being what it was, I was the only guest in the restaurant for more than an hour and when I asked about the dinner menu it was only appetizers and sandwiches. In the morning, the Conti breakfast offered coffee with go cups but no lids. I made a request 3 days in a row at the front desk who said they had past the request on to management. Finally on Friday, my last day staying there, they had accommodated their guest. That's not what I'd call excellent service. There was also a strange, bothersome hum audible from within my room - not the hvac unit. Parking lot and driveway were in terrible shape, especially for someone trying to exit with a lidless cup of coffee!
