“Country Heaven”

My family and I loved this hotel. It had character and warmth. The gentleman that greeted us was very thoughtful and went the extra mile, sincere friendliness. The little details made a huge impact (cookies and milk, fun decor, and homemade cinnamon roll for breakfast). I hope to definitely stay here again.

“Close to major attractions!”

Just a few blocks from the Pendleton Wool Mill . . . a fiber-holics dream! Motel beds and bedding comfortable and very clean. Plan to return next May for the Foot of the Blues Cowboy Gathering's second year. We didn't even mind the freight trains rumbling through on a fairly regular schedule.

“An excellent place to stay!”

I didn't have super high expectations when I booked our stay, but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The room was a little on the small side, but there was enough room for us and our baby. The room was furnished nicely, and the decor was tasteful and had a nice Oregon feel. Even the part of town it's located in felt safe and secure. I would definitely stay here again the next time we drive through.

“Nice place with a whiskey tasting on top”

I went to a conference at the Wildhorse Casino outside of Pendleton and am so glad my wife and I stayed here instead of in the casino hotel. The room was very clean (really, really clean!), not too far from the historic downtown area or the exit to the freeway, and Gordon, the man working in the office let me try a few of the different Pendleton whiskeys he had on deck. The breakfast was satisfying and although neither of us have dietary restrictions, there were options for a variety of needs. He gave us candy bars when we left. The bathroom soap was really nice. The bed and pillows were quality. The loveseat in the room was good for reading. Generous lamp placement for a room of that size. I rated the place 4 out of 5 stars on surrounding neighborhood because the room we stayed in is located very close to the neighboring house. The night we were there, those neighbors decided to have a huge party on their front lawn. It didn't bother us at all (the windows are of quality material and my wife and I are both heavy sleepers) but I think it would have kept my dad awake. I will definitely stay here again if I find myself sleeping in Pendleton.

“Highly recommend this motel”

Talk about extras...homemade cookies and milk brought to our room?? Are you kidding? Who does that? When we didn't notice the ice bucket in the room, the owner didn't even question - he just brought up a container of ice for us. Breakfast was great. Even though it was simple, everything was fresh. If something ran out, all you had to do was ask and more was out there. Service and friendliness was above and beyond. Have not experienced this kind of service at any hotel or motel ever. Do need to bring your own blow dryer if you need one (who knows, if I would have asked, they may have had one to borrow??) Everything was very clean and nicely decorated with quality towels and scented sachets. We loved our stay and plan to stay there every time we're in Pendleton.

“Will return, without a doubt!!!”

This is a comfortable, welcome home motel. It has recently been renovated with all new furnishings. Staff was excellent. Great homemade breakfast items come along with the room. Extremely clean and wonderful!!!

“Simple Motel with Nice Staff but needs a more watchful eye...”

This establishment was easy to locate, and was quiet in the downstairs section of motel. Road noise wasn't an issue, but we did hear nightly trains passing through, which I suppose one might find part of this town's charm. The staff is very, very nice. Our suite was a bit smaller than expected, and fortunately we found an extension cord lose behind the TV stand, because they left a lamp out with no nearby outlet. A tiny refrigerator sits on the floor topped by a tray with a coffee pot - my suggestion to them would be to buy an inexpensive table to hold these items, as bending the floor is not the best option IMHO. Housekeeping was not the best. Carpets were not vacuumed during the stay, nor mirrors or sinks cleaned. The shower had mold, and the toilet needed a good scrubbing. Soap, for some odd reason, was something they provided intermittently. Our room was not serviced the first day after, but the front desk did apologize once I brought to their attention. The breakfast was great the first morning, but over the course of the next few days supplies dwindled and quality diminished until they ran out of milk for cereal and OJ. They have free Wifi, which worked great! I don't mind a simple establishment, and I'd give them another chance, I just hope they check a bit closer with the quality of housekeeping people they hire.

“It's OK”

Well, I need to let people know about the exact location. It is very close to some train tracks. This is an active train and runs all the time. I was woken up a little after 1 a.m. to the sound of the train roaring by then the screeching sound of the breaks. If you can sleep through that, then go for it. Overall the rooms are very nice. The beds are comfy and the rooms are always clean. The office is not manned 24hrs like stated. They have regular hrs but if you need anything late at night, then you can call someone. I did have the breakfast and it was great. They had biscuits & gravy, bagels, toast, cereal and juice. If you want any chance at getting some, run down when it first opens. I came down 20 min after and it was slim pickings. The staff was a little slow but very nice. These rooms do seem a bit small with all of the furniture, so I really don't recommend more than 2 people per room. Maybe 3 if you don't have a lot of stuff. It was a good stay besides getting woken up at 1. They have everything you need and the price is reasonable. You can't ask for more. This is my 2nd stay at this lodge.
