My wife and I stayed at Noordin Mews for three nights in July 2014. Our stay was wonderful. From the beginning, the entire staff worked very hard to make our stay special and comfortable. As we checked in, our bags were hauled up to our room for us while we drank nutmeg juice and filled out the paperwork. When we finished, we were led to the room and given a tour and explanation of where things were in the room, how they operated, breakfast time, etc. Each day the room was thoroughly cleaned and there were various treats left for us.
The room was big, clean, and comfortable, decorated in a style reminiscent of 1930's Shanghai. There is a central courtyard where the pool was located. After spending a day walking around hectic Georgetown, it was a treat to come back to the pool to unwind and relax.
The breakfast was listed as continental but it was a full breakfast complete with choices off a menu. Coffee and a beautiful fruit plate were brought first. Each day we ordered something different from the menu and each day it was delicious and beautifully presented.
The only drawback to the hotel is that the location isn't perfect. The street and neighborhood are perfectly safe but it is a few blocks from the UNESCO part of town and is separated from it by a busy street with a giant mall. We were fine because we like to walk but others may not be so inclined.

Hotel is a newly refurbished shop house at Georgetown, which is in close proximity to key attractions such as penang street art , khoo kongsi, clan jetties, 3D trick art museum etc. It is also within walking distance to China House, a popular cafe/bar and other restaurants and cafes. The suite-keepers were very helpful and friendly and gave us an extensive briefing on how to navigate around the area on the day of our arrival. The room is cosy and comes with the necessary creature comforts for a relaxing stay. Breakfast was also included, and it consisted of nonya kuey, local delights such as roti prata and fried kway teow, fresh fruits, coffee/tea/juice. Overall experience was great and will definitely be back if I'm traveling to Penang again.

The boutique hotel that we stayed for a night was cosy and feels like home. The hotel is within the heritage area. The staffs were friendly and helpful and the rooms are comfortable and clean. There is a swing at the lobby where we hung out when we came back to rest in the afternoon. Would definitely come back to this place!
