Staff are most welcoming, hotel is very clean and has a lovely view and swimming pool located on the roof. I am from England and the experience was inevitable. Thanks to all the Aspery hotel staff. Made my holiday the best. And at very affordable rates.
Lovely tranquil oasis to escape to. If you must visit Patong (not my favourite area in Phuket) then this resort is recommended simply because it is so relaxing and quiet. We stayed in a Premier room which overlooked the pool. Very nice room, a bit small but adequate if not spending a lot of time in the room. The room had a noisy air conditioner though so i found myself having to use earplugs or turn it off at night in order to sleep. Breakfast was amazing with a large variety of food. I loved the rotation of different dishes each day. Especially loved the curries, wakes up the digestive system for the day.
The pools were nice I only used the large one as the other was quite small and in the shade.
The hotel is pleasant and comfortable. It is located near most everything in Patong Beach area and across from Hard Rock Café. I chose the premier room which included free mini bar which is nice, and also includes an afternoon tea although I never made it down. The only problems I noticed was a touch of mold growing on the curtain liner which could use some attention. The biggest problem for me is the noise level coming from a club across the river that goes until 6 am. I had them move me to another room but it still kept me awake.
The staff at Baan Laimai are absolutely fantastic and are amongst the best anywhere in the world. Upon arrival we immediately received a room upgrade which was awesome, however it was discovered that the WiFi connection was non-existant, so after a couple of days of discussions and negotiations we were moved to another room. Our new room was conveniently located next to a room under renovation, and the constant hammering, sawing and banging was most welcome.. NOT! The swimming pool is fantastic, the gym on the roof has spectacular views of the ocean, but overall the hotel in general is looking a little tired and dated and could probably do with some upgrades sooner rather than later. It should be noted that the WiFi is absolutely appalling and is totally unreliable, constantly dropping out and requiring constant logging in for sometimes only a few seconds connectivity. To sum up love the staff and the hotel has a lot of appeal but could definitely improve.

Located on the west coast, Patong Beach is the most popular beach in Phuket. This two-kilometre-long beach offers everything from water sports and massages to food and drinks. The nightlife selection is infinite, including the famous Soi Bangla with its numerous bars, neon lights, and night clubs; dining along cliff-side restaurants with views of the coast, or at the two Thai food courts on Rat-U-Thit Road. The beach transforms into a night bazaar nightly, packed with colourful stalls selling beach wears and leather goods.
