I have been a fan of Michael Hyatt and his brands for years. When possible I try to use their chain. I found a great deal on this hotel and spent well over a half hour telling my wife how we need to come here together. However, I wont be going back. What they do not tell you when you book is that you have to pay for parking. When I got to the front desk I was informed to use a third party app to pay for my overnight parking. This is an open parking lot, attached to the property and adjoining a strip mall (wich does not charge for parking) I questioned it and the man asked if I was a Hyatt reward member. I informed him that I thought I was but he could not find the account. He had me put my information on a form stating he would get me signed up. To me, that signified I did not have to worry about. The next morning I leave after an amazing breakfast and a friendly check out to find a parking ticket on my car. Not only did he not set me up but their "parking police" made sure to do through the lot, a lot which was only 1/4 full and issue a ticket. I called in to the front desk to ask about it and the tone and arrogance set me on fire "Well you failed to register your vehicle, so you got a ticket" There was no I am sorry let me see what happened. did anyone explain this to you nothing. I was treated like a criminal who tried to buck the system. If that was the case, I could have parked 25 feet over into the shopping center lot and avoided that fee all together.
