“Quiet, quaint and clean”
Lovely hotel in the Puteaux suburb of Paris. My mom and I were first time visitors to the city and had no trouble getting adapted to the 20-25 commute to and from the hotel to the center of Paris (figure 10-15 minute walk and 10-15 minute subway ride depending on where you're going). One thing is that, since it does take a while, it's hard to stay out late without worrying about finding your way back. The walk to the hotel from the city center seems much longer and creepier at night than it does when you're walking to the Esplanade de la Defense metro stop in the morning. Free wifi, computer access in the lobby, breakfast is included, room service available, free long distance calls and a very caring and attentive staff made for a wonderful first visit to the city of light.
“Excellent, definitely I will be back......”
Excellent !!! The hotel was far beyond my expectation. Room had enough space for me and well-conditioned, clean and comfortable. It was difficult for me to find something negative. If I have to say any point to improve, there is no soap dish in shower booth (but it was very tiny, tiny matter.....) I think this would be one of the most cost-effective hotel among to the globe I stayed for a few years. I definitely stay again when I am back in Paris. Really enjoyed !! Thank you for the kindness.
“Found other reviews misleading”
The hotel is tiny and pretty typical, according to Paris standards. It is inexpensive and provides a breakfast buffet, which is decent but nothing to write home about. We rented a room for three people, but what we got is a room with a double bed, where they had added on a third, foldable bed, which was too short for an adult and had a bed lamp, which couldn't be moved, right where your head is supposed to be when you're sleeping, so it was a major inconvenience. We slept very uncomfortably with three people in the small room, so on the second night we had to rent another room. The hotel staff was polite enough to offer us a second room at half price, due to the inconvenience, but they ended up charging us for three people at the end (for a room used just by two), because we weren't paying attention at checkout. It is an adequate hotel for the price, as most Paris hotels are rather pricy, but I wouldn't recommend or visit this hotel again. It is far from the closest metro stop (15-minute walk), and overall not very convenient for a sightseeing type of trip. It is in the La Defense area of Paris, which is a very business-oriented area, so there isn't much to do around the hotel and the metro has to be used to go anywhere.
“Would not hesitate to return.”
Hotel location in quiet, safe residential neighborhood. Close walk to Metro. Several inexpensive, enjoyable restaurants within short walking distance welcome after walking all about Paris. Breakfast more than ample and fresh and tasty. Croissants FAB! Entire staff is eager to please. Free international telephone calls and free internet access too. THE VERY BEST BANG FOR YOUR BUCK OR EURO!!!
“wonderful little hotel in Paris”
wonderful little hotel in a quiet area. Hard to find initially but once you get used to it you can come and go to the heart of the city in 10-15 minutes metro ride. Excellent service and very clean place. I certainly will go back again.
“3 star hotel wtih 5 star hotel service”
very clean, nice and quiet hotel. 10 minutes walking to metro subway. lovely smoke free patio for dinning area. hotel will provide your cutlery if you need. 2 big supermarket near by. all kinds of restaurants around the hotel. We found at least 4 Chinese restaurants. Yes, it is a small hotel, but my mom and I felt so warm and so closed with hotel staffs who always wear a smile on their face. Language barrier, no problem to my mom and me as we do not speak French. I would strongly give a grade of more than 5 stars hotel service at this 3 star hotel. keep doing well. as we will consider this hotel as our first priority when we visit Paris again.
“Loved this little hotel!”
The Vivaldi is a lovely, smaller hotel just outside of Paris. The nearest metro station is a short walk away, and all of La Defense is within ten-fifteen minutes. The hotel staff, particularly Sophie and Olivier, were unfailingly friendly, polite and helpful, even though we were traveling with teenagers. Breakfast was convenient and perfect. The rooms are quite small, but how much time do you want to spend in your room, anyway? Wireless connection helped us keep in touch with family back home. Puteaux is clean and quiet, and really a very nice suburb.
“Lovely and very quaint hotel with great employees”
The hotel is located in a very nice suburb of Paris in a quiet area with a small town feel. The clerks and housekeeping were all very nice and helpful and even gave lots of suggestions for sights to visit and how to nagiviate the Paris metro system. The continential breakfast (in the lobby or in your room) was very convinent and a perfect way to get some energy to start the day. They allowed free international and local calls and free WIFi with a personalized password. The rooms are small by French standards but clean and very servicable.
“Can't wait to go back!”
Absolutely amazing! The staff were extremely hopeful, the breakfast and room service was great, and the best part was we could call the United States free of charge! Definitely stay again!!
“Don't miss it”
A small but a great hotel. Customer service is more than great (WOW). Many small resturants and shops in the neighborhood. Safe and clean area. 10 minutes walk to the tube station but this hotel worth it and I'll stay there again.
