“We would definitely recommend this hotel”
Beautiful hotel. Rooms spotlessly clean. Bathroom small but perfectly formed. Excellent base for a sightseeing weekend away - literally a 2 minute walk from Etienne Marcel metro station. If I had to think of a bad point it would be that the beds were quite uncomfortable (kept rolling into the middle), and there was a really grumpy woman serving breakfast. I would reiterate other comments on this site which say don't have breakfast in the hotel - unless you want to pay Euro28.00 (approx 20pounds) for bread rolls, croissants and coffee.
“affordable style in the 2nd”
A great central lcoation with some superb eateries and drinking dens within the immediate vicintiy. A very well appointed hotel, with a lovely discreet feel to it, and with friendly unassuming staff to boot. A real gem to spend a lovely romantic break in. Thanks J. Superb sized room for Paris with modern and tasteful decor. If there was a single complaint it would the inward look onto the internal courtyard did give the room a slightly clostrophobic feel. A word of warning though, the weekend can pleasantly slip away from you if you are fortunate enough to make friends in Le Cochon à l'Oreille.
“Superb and excellent”
This was an excellent quiet hotel in a very good area. Very quiet in terms of traffic noise
“Great place to stay in central Paris”
Hotel Victoires Opera is a lovely small and personal 4* hotel in a wonderful part of Paris. The staff are very polite, helpful and they can speak English if you wish. Rue Montorgueil is full of 'real' shops including butchers, greengrocers, choclatiers, bakers and of course numerous cafes with pavement seating in the summer as well as numerous restaurants (including the famous L'Escargot and Au Rocher de Cancale). The street is part of a pedestrianised conservation neighbourhood and is full of life and vitality, and is so well placed for the Metro and other transportation. I stayed here twice and will be returning.
“Comfortable Chic”
This charming hotel is located on a pedestrianised road (although that doesn't stop some bike riders treating it like a race track!) with lots of shops, bars, restuarants and wonderful cake shops. The hotel is very clean and contempary and the staff are very helpful. The road is very busy at all times of the day and is great for people watching, but might be a little loud for those wanting peace and quiet. My wife and I went to Paris to see George Michael at the Stade de France and we had a wonderful time. We saw him on the Friday night and spent the other 2 days of our break exploring the famous landmarks in Paris.
“Best Paris Hotel Ever!”
I have stayed in Paris several times in several different hotels. From this point forward I will only stay in the Victoires Opera. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms and bathroom is clean and large for Paris standards. The staff is friendly and helpful. ALSO this hotel is on the same metro line as Gard du Nord. So going to the hotel via the metro or RER is very easy.
“Victoires Opera”
The hotel was really nice, definately as good as it looks in the pictures. Based on a nice street too, plenty of cafes and bars - and its right in the centre of the city. +++
“What it says on the tin!”
This hotel is ideally placed within walking distance of many attractions and convenient for the local metro. The street has a great Parisienne feel and plenty of places to sit and watch the world go by.
“Fab Boutique Hotel.”
We spent 4 night at this nice and charmy Petit Hotel. Service was just great so was the room, clean, flesh and roomy. Nothing to argue about. You got what you need. If you are looking for a great boutique hotel then just book in a room but if u r look' for Place Vendome's style then you are just reading a wrong review.
“Great boutique hotel in vibrant area and close to all the action”
The hotel Victoires Opera is a lovely little hotel. It is situated on a bustling street with lots of shops, cafes and restaurants where you can join the locals for a drink or bite to eat. This, I feel, is one of the key selling points for the hotel as so many eateries in the more touristy parts of Paris are over priced and the food is not very good. Not so in this charming area. Another bonus is that the hotel is about 10-12 minutes walk from the river and Notre Dame and about 15-20 mins walk to the Louvre. Or if you prefer, the metro is about 1000m from the hotel entrance (line 3 in one direction and line 4 in the other).
