“Pleasant stay”

The hotel is perfect. Quite expensive, but the service is good, rooms are clean. The localisation is also very good! They offer some services like spa, but they are REALLY expensive.

“NYC Travelers”

Overall a wonderful experience. Only questionable situation was the phone charges. We made 1 local Paris phone call that lasted 9 minutes & were charged 45 Euros or $55 USD! The internet was also extremely expensive 9 Euros for 15 minutes. All other Westin's we have stayed at previous, internet was free- as it should be. WiFi, come on!

Area recommendations
AMAZING central Paris location. Walking distance to Louvre, Musee de Orsay, across the street from the Tuileries- really can't do much better. Beautiful (but expensive) location.
What to pack
Parisians are always dressed up- wear Black & solid colors to fit in. Also, don't wear sneakers or you look like a tourist & may be approached by questionable characters. If sneaks are a must for you, buy black (not white) so you won't stick out like a sore thumb.
Other
Learn a few phrases in French, so you are not hated, especially when ordering food. Always greet with "Bonjour" for during the day, or "Bonsoir" for evening. This includes entering a store, restaurant, etc. If you don't learn much French before you go, you should start out by asking "Parlez-vous anglais?" before starting to speak English. We found that a lot of people speak English, but if you don't ask them, they don't attempt to understand you. Always useful, "S'il vous plaît" which means Please. And the universal thank you "Merci." Of course, the more you learn, the more enjoyable your experience will be. Ordering food was the most difficult part for us since we didn't know what was on the menu. Also, if you have any allergies, make sure you know how to read the word & tell the waiter so you can void off any bad situations at restaurants.

“Great Place Great Location”

Since this was our first trip to Paris we wanted the security of a "chain" hotel with the charm of old world Paris. The Westin fit the bill perfectly. Large pretty room (we were upgraded to a Deluxe on check in) overlooking the courtyard, Great housekeeping. Lovely lounge that serves food when the restaurant is closed. Very helpful concierge who was more than happy to help with restaurant recommendations and tours. We never ate in le First but heard from other guests that it was very good (expensive, but not outrageous by Paris standards). Fantastic location! Right across the street from the Tuileries Gardens. Close to the Metro and RER stations (easy access to Versailles). Easy walk to the Louvre and Champ Elysees. Great high end shopping in the Place Vendome. A block away from the city tours too which came in very handy for the early morning pick-ups. Everyone spoke English and made us feel very welcome. Will definitely go back there.

“Great location, beautiful place, people NOT great”

View, AWESOME....What a terrific location. Great building and neighborhood hard to beat. service...ehhhhh, front desk and concierge ehhhhhh Beds.....ehhhhhh

“lovely french hotel”

stayed here many times over the years. Alwasy a lovely hotel. Only problem this time was the heat in my room...either freezing cold or broiling hot. They did try to fix it but never seemed to get it correct. Otherwise gret hotel.

“very nie, upscale”

I was traveling with my daughter, while very nice and upscale, it was more than we needed. The location was great, close to the Louvre, Tulleries Gardens (great relaxing park) and an underground metro station. We were within site of the Eiffel Tower, the Seine River and the Arc de Triomphe. It was a beautiful location in a beautiful city. My only negative was the additional costs and high priced restaurant. It was cost prohibitive for my daughter and I to eat at the hotel restaurant. Also there were extra fees for the internet, in room and business center.

“Wonderful Experience”

We spent 7 days at the Westin - Paris Vendome and it was a fantastic experience. The hotel is well located with walking access to great shopping and the access to tours is only a block away. The staff was very responsive and friendly, the room was always well maintained by the staff, and the food in the restaurants was excellent. We definitely plan to return and we highly recommend it.

“We loved this hotel!!!”

We were very impressed with the Westin Paris Vendome. It is a beautiful hotel and so close to everything! (The metro, shopping, museums, cafes and a view of the Eiffel Tower.)

Area recommendations
The Vendome area is a fabolous place to stay. Near the museums and fabulous shops and cafes. The Ritz is nearby so you know you're in a nice location.
