“Perfect for me”

The hotel was in a great area. Lots of cafes along the same street and people of all ages walking (though no kids in the area). Walked around very late and was safe. Train next door stopped running during sleeping hours so did not disturb me. Didn't use Metro but super close if you chose to. Bed very comfortable (double is two twins pushed together) and lots of blankets which were needed perfect. Room and bathroom very small but I believe this is a European thing. Wireless access was hit and miss. Great window that opened with no screen and a cute flower box which felt very "Parisian!" I saw lots of Paris and all by foot from the hotel. Would stay again but not with my kids. Didn't seem like an appropriate family hotel - too small and walls that wouldn't hide any noise! Super tiny elevator and even then the bags had to be carried either up on down a flight of stairs - no such thing as a bellman here.

Area recommendations
The 7th was the best area to stay in for activity and for being close to some great sites including the Eiffel Tower.
Getting around
Loved the hop on, hop off bus! Very tourist but it got me around and allowed me to explore what I wanted.

“Great location, friendly staff, not pretty but room was perfectly clean”

I had one day to spend in Paris after a business trip and wanted some place reasonably priced and well located. The Eiffel Segur definitely met my needs. A 2 minutes walk away from the subway, 15 minutes walking to the Eiffel Tower. Great location! This is not a hotel where you feel like lounging in the room all day, as the room and the hotel are tiny. The place feels a little old, but the room was perfectly clean. Plus you are in Paris! Who wants to stay in the room! A clean bed and a clean shower, that is all you need and you do get that in this hotel. The gentlemen at the front desk during the night shift is very helpful. When my shuttle was delayed, he called the shuttle company and asked what was going on without me needing to ask him.

Comment from the hotel's management
We thank you for your comment, we are glad you spent a nice stay in Paris and at hotel Effel Segur. Looking forward to welcoming you back at the hotel.

“Solid paris hotel”

While small and possessing many of the traits of parisian hotels (small rooms, at least by American standards, a steep staircase, small lift, etc.) I found the hotel adequate. The location is good and is near multiple metro stops - (Note, the hotel site lists the Cambronne L6 station, but it is also within a couple blocks of the Segur station on L7). Was a short metro ride to the Arc de Triomphe where metro lines to other major landmarks can be found. Though you can hear almost everything on your floor, I had a street view room and had very little noise from the street, which is a rather busy one. The hotel is right on a major street and numerous restaurants of all kinds, including plenty with dinners under EUR 20, within a few blocks. Also plenty of banks, a few shops (clothing shop right next door), a couple small markets, and a street market on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday nearby. Neighborhood also seemed pretty safe which probably has something to do with the nearby police station. Biggest compliment is to the staff who helped in several ways including getting us a ride to the train station. Biggest con, the layout is not really friendly to those with lots of luggage like us.

“great location with nice view of paris”

we were very satisified with this hotel. it was in a great location. walking distance from the Eiffel tower. close to 2 metro stations, boulangerie, restaurants, and convenient stores. The staff is very accomodating. we asked for a room with the view of the Eiffel Tower, and they delivered (room 52). we had a view of the tower, sacre coeur and les invalides. the rooms are small, but it's perfect for 2. i would definately go back :)

Getting around
the public transit system is very easy to use. i highly recommend using the metro and RER to get around. booklets of tickets are the best way to go. passes are not required.
Shopping
best place to buy souvenirs, rue de rivolli
Dining
for a nice authentic french dinner, i recommend le petit pontoise. staff is friendly, food is great and it is rated one of paris' best restaurants. don't miss the pain chocolate, croissants and baguettes at any boulangerie.

“Great location for Paris”

I was surprised when I found the hotel to discover that it was a Best Western. Why this wouldn't be clear to me is a mystery. The room was small, but the location was excellent. Two subway stops are closeby. You can reasonably walk to the Eifflel Tower and the Musee D'Orsay within 30 minutes. Despite that the room faced the street the amazing sound proofed windows kept the sounds out. I was not impressed with hotel staff. What hotel doesn't have a wine opener? Most importantly, my room didn't have an air conditioner, despite it being advertised as having one. The front desk lamely said they'd come up and investigate and never did.

“JACK AND JILL”

I FOUND THIS HOTEL CHARMING. WE COULD SEE THE EIFFEL TOWER FROM OUR ROOM WINDOW WHICH WE HAD ASKED FOR AND THE PALACE DE INVALLIDES. AT NIGHT IT WAS SPECTACULAR. ROOM WAS SMALL,BUT WE WERE NOT IN IT VERY MUCH EXCEPT TO SLEEP. "PETIT MAISON",BUT YOUR IN PARIS,CLEAN,COMFORTABLE BED,GREAT STAFF,HELPFUL,WHAT MORE CAN YOU ASK FOR. CONVIENIENT TO CAMBRONNE THE METRO STOP. WE MANAGED TO GET AROUND WITHOUT ANY TROUBLE. NICE NEIGHBOURHOOD,GREAT PASTRY SHOP UP THE STRET AND A GREAT LITTLE MARKET ACROSS THE STREET WITH GREAT BEAUJOLAIS WINE,CHEESE AND A FEW OTHER DELICASSIES. OVERALL A GREAT STAY. WOULD STAY AGAIN. I DID NOT WANT TO PAY 12 EUROS FOR BREAKFAST,SO WE ATE ELSEWHERE.

“Good for the money”

This hotel facility is about average for the European standard. However, it is very good for the money. Where can you get this type of hotel conveniently located in the middle of Paris for this price? There are two metro stops very close to the hotel. As a tourist, I spent very little time in the hotel room. I returned to the room after 9pm every day, and just slept, and out to another adventure before 9 in the morning.

Area recommendations
Eiffel tower is close by, only a few metro stops. You can probably walk to the tower, but I would not recommend it. I toured numerous Paris attractions with metro.

“Don't ask for staff to arrange cab”

Everything about the hotel stay was great, except when a staff member offered to arrange a cab. The cab that was arranged was actually a private driver that cost 35 euro. I later found that the same trip in an actual cab would have been 8 euro. There is a cab stand about two blocks from the hotel. Don't make the same mistake I did when they offer to arrange a cab.

“Met our needs for short stay”

This trip included myself and one of my friends, no children. The receptionist/concierge was pleasant, and spoke excellent English. The elevator was big enough for two people/two small bags. The room was small, but recently renovated. I wish the remodeling extended to the bathroom, but the space was adequate for a one night stay. Very noisy at night, sounded like loud knocking (maybe some pipes in the wall?). Seemed to be a good, safe location, even though the metro tracks are visible from the front of the hotel. Cambronne is the metro stop we used. You will have to pay a 1.10 euro charge per person city tax, not included in your expedia payment. We didn't try breakfast, all you need is a croissant from one of the patissieries!
