“Great stay- excellent location- friendly staff”
The Five Hotel is a small boutique hotel in the Latin Quarter. The hotel including rooms, lobby and breakfast room were creatively decorated and funky with attention to detail. Although my room was somewhat small, it was well set up, beautifully decorated and imaculate. The light fragrance created an inviting and relaxing aroma. The hotel is very close to two metro stops so it is easy to get around. Taxi's were not familiar with the street because the street is extremely small but they were able to easily locate it on the navigation software. Recommended for young travelers and families with teens or older children
“great”
The Five Hotel had interesting decor, small room but adequate. The suite was great and very accessible to the airport.
“Design Boutique Hotel for Good Value”
Spent nine nights in a superior room at the Five and it was a great home base for exploring Paris. The hotel is on a quiet block and in a non-touristy neighborhood. It is within short walking distance of Jardin du Luxembourg, rue Mouffetard, Pantheon, Jardin des Plantes, RER and metro. Rooms are small, but made up for size with cool lighting, quality linens and l'Occitane toiletries. Bathrooms are tiny with closet-sized stand-up showers (a plus in Paris), but have modern design and amenities. It felt like home and an escape from the hordes of tourists, while at the same being relatively close to all the major sites. It was excellent value, the most reasonable we could find for a design hotel in central Paris.
“Chic and Comfortable”
the hotel is located in a nice area opposite a small restaurant and bar. The woman who greeted us was very friendly and made us really welcome.Probably the best welcome we have ever received at a hotel. The room as others have noted was small but beautiful with atmospheric lighting. i've never actually had lights set in the shower tiles before! The metro is 5 minutes walk so this is a great hotel for anyone looking for a romantic break. The only negatives were the guy on reception who we asked for directions to the Marais area and showed us the wrong side of the river and when we left we couldn't find anyone on reception. However we would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel.
“pleasantly surprised”
My husband and I enjoyed the hotel very much. It is located very close to a metro station, and to one of the university campuses, and therefore there were many things to see/visit and enjoy, in particular, one of the oldest streets in the city with restaurants and little markets and shops, and a little further north, the Pantheon and the Boulevards St. Germain and Michel. The hotel has obviously been recently renovated and was very clean and modern. The renovation is also quite stunning, very hip, and even romantic in a youthful sort of way, that made us feel young again (just to give you an example, the bed linens included very cute little cloth multi-colored rose petals). I don't want to ruin the surprise so I'll just say that there were many more little details about the room that made us smile. The staff was very kind and helpful.
“Best hotel staff you could find”
The best hotel staff I have ever been with. It has to be the best value in Paris.
“Lovely little gem in central Paris”
My boyfriend and I spend 1 night at the Five hotel and absolutely loved it. I must admit the room was very very small - we stayed in a standard room, which I think is designed for 1 person anyway, but it had a double bed and enough wardarobes for a couple of nights. The bathroom was small but very clean. The room was decorated to a high standard throughout - flat screen TV, imaginative lighting in both the room and the bathroom. They also had L'occitane bathroom products which were very nice. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel as they are quite a few lovely bakeries in the area where you can get fresh pastaries but if you are a big morning eater perhaps the 12 euro breakfast that the hotel offers is a good deal. For us, the location of the FIVE is one of the better in Paris, that is of course of you are happy to stay in a more residential area rather than being right in the middle of hustle and bustle. It is located approximately 10 min walk from the Pantheon and about 20 from Notre Dame - if you like walking, this location will suite you. There are of course also 3 metro stations nearby if the public transport is your preferred option. The staff were also fantastic, spoke great English and made sure we were happy at all times. We would return to the FIVE any time and are definitely staying there next time we visit the city but I would say that if you are after space and want to stay right in the center then perhaps there are better alternatives out there for you.
“Formidable!”
