“Quiet Latin Quarter Hotel”
Very contemporary design to this hotel's public areas and the rooms. A good, quite location on the south end of the Latin Quarter. The rooms are very small. Main streets with shopping and restaurants are only a short walk away. Great selection of dining on the Rue Moufftard, which is only a few blocks away.
“Avoid in paris latin quarter”
rooms were not ready by check in (4pm) after being told that EARLY check in was possible. rooms are tiny- almost unstayable. ordered taxi night before we left, only to be told in the AM that we couldn't have one. i never write reviews / complain about stuff, but this place was terrible- would avoid this paris mess at all costs in the future.
“pleasantly surprised”
My husband and I enjoyed the hotel very much. It is located very close to a metro station, and to one of the university campuses, and therefore there were many things to see/visit and enjoy, in particular, one of the oldest streets in the city with restaurants and little markets and shops, and a little further north, the Pantheon and the Boulevards St. Germain and Michel. The hotel has obviously been recently renovated and was very clean and modern. The renovation is also quite stunning, very hip, and even romantic in a youthful sort of way, that made us feel young again (just to give you an example, the bed linens included very cute little cloth multi-colored rose petals). I don't want to ruin the surprise so I'll just say that there were many more little details about the room that made us smile. The staff was very kind and helpful.
“First time in Paris. Traveling alone”
It was the first time I traveled completely on my own as well as my first time to Paris. The staff was extremely helpful with any questions and were able to confirm reservations that I had for a couple different tours. I would totally go back to this hotel. Close to both the Metro and RER, comfortable rooms and great little neighborhood that I felt completely safe walking alone....even late at night on New Years.
“location”
Good service overall but location could be better.
“The Five Hotel, Hidden Gem!”
It's like what they say about real estate in America, Location, Location, Location! This hidden gem has all 3! Took Euro Star from London to Paris, then two short train/subway rides and .5 mile walk to hotel. Safe neighborhood, very quiet! The only "negative" would be room size. I think the room was smaller than my first college dorm room, but charming, quiet and CLEAN!
“A fair deal overall”
Clean comfortable trendy small Hotel. Tiny room, practicale bathroom, comfortable bed. Expensive breakfast (understood to be Eu 5 a pop, turned out to be Eu 15 instead... not worth it) Might shop around next time but overall nice stay.
“Really Nice Place”
My husband and I enjoyed three nights at the Five Hotel as part of our honeymoon trip. The service was top-notch. The staff was very helpful and cheerful. I love the style of the rooms - just like the photos on their site. The little lights, aromatherapy, and quality toiletries are just small things, but really make an impression. Our room was small, as expected based on the reviews, but this is typical of Paris in my experience. We didn't have any problem with the size of the room, and we had a lot of luggage. We did not have breakfast at the hotel, because we stumbled upon a fabulous breakfast spot called La Salle à Manger on Rue Mouffetard. We looked forward to the great meals there each morning. The Five Hotel is not far from the metro, which was our primary mode of transportation. All in all, the highlight of this hotel was the cool decor and the super nice people working there. I would definitely return and would love to try some of their other hotels. Thanks for a lovely visit, Five Hotel!
“Great price!”
The Five staff is great. The price is even better. Rooms are small. Bathrooms are smaller. Obese people would have problems. Neighborhood is quiet and near metro stops.
“Small but trendy”
Arrived at CDG airport, took the RER Line B to hotel, walked about 8 blocks. The five is in a quiet (dead) neighborhood and not far from to the Les Globelins Metro, banks and boulageries were nearby and it was close to the Pantheon & Luxemberg Garden. The standard room was tiny, I would recommend the standard deluxe or higer. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. I would recommend this hotel if the price range meets your budget.
