“Paris new year trip”
Absolutely brilliant hotel!!!! Even though building works were taking place there was no disruption. The hotel was even more luxury than expected, easily the best hotel have ever stayed in. Hotel staff were very helpful. Would recommend having the breakfast in bed and using the room service.
“Lovely European Hotel”
This hotel has a helpful staff, good restaurant, good food in the bar and is so well located for easy easy access to public transportation.
“Good hotel, centrally located”
The room was good and spacious and the hotel provided whatever we requested. The check in staff were very good and the concierge was excellent in making bookings and providing advice, maps, etc. They all spoke English which was a big help. We even had our own little balcony. We had only one meal at the hotel on the first night. While the food was of a high standard, we preferred to eat outside while viewing all the tourist attractions.
“Good Hotel in Great Location”
The Sofitel Arc de Triomphe is a good hotel in a great location. We had two rooms for a week and all in all it was a very good stay. The only difficulty we had was with an early check-in that resulted from taking an overnight flight into Paris that landed at 6:30 AM. We got to the hotel at about 8:30 exhausted, and requested one of our two rooms as soon as it was ready. We were initially told it would be ready at 10 AM, but finally got into the room shortly before noon. They must have gotten tired of loooking at us in the lobby. The staff is very friendly and courteous, and most speak a bit of English. They are more helpful if you try to speak French, no matter how bad your French is. We did not encounter anyone in the hotel or for that matter, on our trip, that faintly resembled the rude Frenchman that is apparently nothing more than an urban legend. The rooms are standard hotel rooms - a bed, a closet with a safe, a flat-screen TV with French, German, Arabic, Spanish, Russian and English channels (the only English channels are Bloomberg and CNN, not that you would be watching TV while in Paris...but it might seem important to kids). The room had a music system that didn't work, but we didn't care. The bathroom is good, but not great. Granite counter, marble tiled, but with a funky little shower panel that pivots in and out for showering. We'd stay at this hotel in this location again in a heartbeat.
“sooooooo great”
we are a family of 3, are son is 15mths. The hotel was lovely. The staff were so freindly and helpful. Great value.
“Counting the days til we return!!”
Our stay at the Sofitel Arc de Triomphe was everything and more than we expected. It was my 60th birthday and our first time in Paris. We explained this at check in and were upgraded to a junior suite!! The room was very spacious with a large bathroom and Hermes soaps etc. There was an electric tea kettle for morning tea or coffee in the room. The bedding was very comfortable. The staff at the hotel could not have been nicer. They helped arrange dinners and excursions for us. The restaurant in the hotel was exceptional. There is also a very nice bar downstairs. The hotel is close to the metro as well as the hop on and off bus. We were able to wallk to little bakerys in the morning for croissants. The Arc de Triomphe was only 2 blocks away. There were also many good restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. When we return to Paris we will definately stay here again!! Oh, I forgot to mention that on my birthday there was a chocolate cake delivered to our room as well as a little bear on my pillow! What a nice surprise. One hint about visiting the Louve. Try to go on one of the two nights that they are open as the crowds are nonexistant at night.
“excellent as always”
This is our forth experience of the Sofitel brand and again it lived up to its name. Excellent hotel and along with location the staff were fantastic, truely enjoyable experience and on check we were given a free upgrade due to my partners 30th. Breakfast is expensive in the hotel but i found it cost you even more outside of the hotel and you don't feel as content compared to breakfast in bed! From experience you'll find breakfast expensive all across the sofitel range so i always try and get it for free or as part of the package. Highly reccomended as always, the bed's are to die for, can't wait to sample New York's version!
“Excellent”
This was the perfect Hotel and i will be there again in the future.
“GREAT HOTEL/ SERVICE/ LOCATION”
We stayed here 2 nights, and loved it. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and we loved our bedding!
“This is an amazing hotel with the friendliest staff and the nicest rooms. We slept like babies!”
I did a lot of research on hotels and areas of Paris to stay for our first trip. The Sofitel Arc de Triomphe had everything we were looking for; air-condition, free wifi, king sized bed, a safe location and a view. It was perfect! We were on an early morning flight and were at the hotel before 10am and were in our room within :30 min. We splerged on breakfast delivered to our room. Very pricey, but wow!!!
