“Great location, very nice hotel.”
Pleasantly surprised at what a nice hotel this was. Great value. Great location. Very comfortable room.
“Good Hotel”
Good location and very good service from staff.
“One of my favorite places”
I have been staying at Select Hotel in Paris for many years now and always enjoy going back. The first draw to me was location- on le Place de la Sorbonne right by Luxembour Gardens. I love the square and views of it. The rooms are really nice and of decent size, especially for Paris. The Baths are nice but do need shower curtains but this is France. Service is also friendly and I enjoy the breakfasts and breakfast room. I recommend this hotel and I am looking forward to returning soon. Free High speend internet is also a plus.
“Nice, quaint hotel!”
Very nice, clean, quaint hotel. The staff spoke good English and were very kind and helpful. Would definately stay again.

staff was friendly and helpful, wi-fi worked well. really nice hotel
“Average for 3 star”
The hotel was average for a 3 star stay. The staff at the front desk was vey knowledgeable and helpful with requests. The breakfast was a continental breakfast, bread, juice, coffee and served in a very nice setting. On the negative, the walls are very thin, so you hear your neighbors, and upstairs every movement, toilet flush, baby cries, etc... We had 2 rooms one with a "King" bed and one with 2 "twins". The king bed was closer in size to an american full size and the 2 twins were very narrow and pushed together with only separate bedding. The common areas we're tattered, and aged looking. The only elevator is VERY small and slow. For the money, I would not stay here again.
“Our Go-To Hotel in Paris”
My husband and I stayed at Select Hotel Rive Gouche for 6 nights in May 2011. We decided to book a deluxe room since we were going to be there for 6 nights. The room was huge for Paris standards! The ceiling had charming, exposed wood beams, the bathroom was a bit dated but large and clean. There were two, large windows that opened up like French doors to let in the beautiful sounds of the fountains of the Sorbonne and the cafes below. We were on the 2nd floor and with the windows closed, couldn't hear a peep from the outside world. The bed was great, the desk area and closet space was big enough for our huge suitcases and carry-ons. It was nice to feel like we could "put things away" since we had been traveling all over! The breakfast was nice... basic pateries, bread and cereal. The bar was small but perfect after a long day of touring and just wanting a chilled glass of champagne or something stronger on-the-rocks. The staff was SO helpful and spoke English very well. They were able to help us book reservations for dinner and our airport transfers. The location is great! The hotel sits off St. Michael Blvd, in a little alcove with cobblestone streets just adding to the charm. It's steps from a metro and bus route and the Latin Quarter and close to Notre Dame, Luxemburg Gardens, Cafe de Flore, St. Germain, ect. We can't wait to go back to Paris and we plan on staying here again!
“excellent”
Very nice, just as described
“Picture Perfect Location”
There are only two things that I thought could be improved at this hotel: 1) The shower did not have a shower curtain, however the bathroom was very clean and quite modern and aesthetically pleasing and 2) There should be an iron and ironing board in every room. While there is access to these things when you call the front desk, they do not let you take them back to the room to use them. Aside from that, the staff was very helpful. Everything was clean and in order and up to date and the Location just can't be beat. Picture Perfect and very Romantic. I would definitely book my stay there again!
