“Clean and Fresh”

Great clean and freshly renovated hotel. Superior room was very comfortable, yet compact. No eggs with breakfast which I missed, but overall after eight visits to Paris, this is the first hotel I'd go back to. It's new, clean and in a fantastic location.

“Perfect location - would recommend to anyone”

I would recomment the Select Hotel - Rive Gauche to anyone. It is located on the Place de la Sarbonne about 8 minutes walk from Notre Dame Cathedrale. It is perfectly located for seeing the sights of Paris and enjoying the cafe culture that makes this city so unique. We commented on how nice it was to walk out of the hotel onto a square with fountains rather than onto a main road (as you may expect for a hotel of this price). Rooms were compact but very modern and clean - everything you need. Beds were made and towels replaced daily. Breakfast was buffet style continental breakfast (coffee, croissants etc) served in the basement which has a massive vaulted ceiling and glass atrium. We would definitely be recommending this hotel to all out friends and family!!

“Great location, friendly staff”

This hotel is a little jewel situated right next to the Sorbonne Univerity and our room looked out on to its lovely facade. The decor is modern and light and the rooms extremely comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. I would definitely stay there again. As a three star hotel it really exceeded my expectations.

“Nice hotel in a lovely location!”

It was a great place to stay! The staff are very accommodating and the room sizes (for a single)are quite comfortable for European standards!

“Successful”

Location next to Sorbonne on plaza much better than expected. Excellent service at front desk; friendly, knowledgable, multi-lingual, staff. "Executive" level room very nice, high design modern, though small and needed more drawer space for a full week stay. Breakfasts (included in rate) plain but good. Excellent access to metro and bus, and well located for walking. One criticism: they brightly light the facade until 1am, so if you have a plaza facing room (the best location) as we did you have to keep your shutters closed. We like open windows. We go to Paris once a year, but were late booking at a busy time and couldn't get into the hotel we usually use. This was a very successful alternative, and much better than being on a narrow street in this mostly crowded Latin Quarter neighborhood..

“charmant et bien situé”

La déco toute neuve de ce petit hotel est superbe. les chambres ne sont pas trés spacieuses, mais décorée avec goût et trés fonctionnelles. La situation est idéale . la place de la Sorbonne est magnifique et l'hotel est trés calme. Seul bémol: un ronronnement sourd (clim, ventilation???) se déclenche régulièrement dans la nuit...

“So much nicer than we expected!”

Upon returning home we got on the internet to see how quickly we could go back to this hotel---The front office staff was far friendlier AND more knowledgeable than any I have encountered anywhere. They would print out directions to everywhere we wanted to go, gave us great tips on where to it, and always with a welcoming smile. This was our first time to Paris and we were a little hesitant about picking a hotel off the internet...but we never imagined the hotel would be so gracious and beautiful. The breakfast bar was actually enough to hold us over to supper...wonderful bread, fruit, and cheeses. And why pay $7.00 for espresso on the street when you can get your fill in the a.m. for free.... I never sleep well in a hotel, and the mattresses, duvet, and pillows were luxurious. I have already passed this hotel name on to friends that are headed to Paris this month...and the next time the rates are on sale again...We Shall Return....I cannot say enough about our stay--it is located in the middle of everything.

“Brilliant location, would highly recommend!”

My husband and I spent 4 nights in the Select Hotel Rive Gauche and thoroughly enjoyed it. The hotel is excellently located for the Latin Quarter's brasseries and bars and within a nice walking distance from most of the major sights (Louvre, Notre Dame, Musee D'Orsay all 5-15 mins walk). It is located on a pedestrianized square off a large Boulevard so was very quiet despite it's central location. Our room was very nice, modern and immaculate with a smart shower room. Breakfast was continental but very good, croissants and coffee was more than enough to send us on our way! Staff were pleasant and helpful at all times. I would highly recommend this hotel to travellers of any age and for any length of stay. I would definitely return to the Select Hotel in the future and found it to be one of the most pleasant city stays I have experienced.
