“Great Airport Stay”
This is an apartment hotel and our accommodation included a kitchen (funrished), bathroom with shower, bedroom and living room. It is new and well furnished, clean and comfortable. There are two small grocery stores and several restaurants within walking distance. There is a shuttle which makes it convenient to Charles deGaulle airport. It was a fantastic bargain and we will continue to use this accommodation when traveling through Paris.
“Roissy Appartement”
“Wonderful Surprise”
This was meant to be a simple 'bed for the night' before catching a flight from Charles De Gaulle airport. We were most impressed with the staff and service - free airport shuttle, very modern apartment with full kitchen. The local tax was nominal. Then we found the village, choice of restaurants, shops, post office, local library and information service. we would be happy to spend more time here on our next visit to Paris
“Be really happy to stay here again.”
Ideal place to stay if need to be near CDG. I had not booked a shuttle for arrival as I was uncertain of time but phoned from RoissyPole RER station and shuttle picked me up in 10 minutes. There was a new staff member at reception (1st day on the job) and both he and his supervisor were helpful and also apologetic about things taking a little longer as he was being taught on the job. I did not expect the staff to necessarily speak English but their English was certainly more fluent than my French. I booked the shuttle back to CDG in the morning, it was bang on time and as I was the only passenger the driver offered to take me straight to Terminal1 rather than drop me at RoissyPole as is usual. It was good go for a walk round Roissy-en-France in the evening (buying things for a "gourmet" dinner in the apartment from one of the grocers in the village - open till after 20:00). One wouldn't have known that one was adjacent to a major international airport. This was a really nice change from the usual accommodation near airports it was more like being in a little, friendly provincial French town. Apartment was clean, well equipped and comfortable, It could have slept 4 with the sofa pulling down into a bed. Kitchen had all the basics needed to self- cater. Although near CDG and thus a long way from central Paris it could be an option as a base for a tourist holiday particularly if the Asterix theme park is part of the plans
“Would recomend these apartments”
The apartment complex is idealy situated for CDG airport being only 5mins away by car. The apartment was exellent and the complex very clean. The staff were very helpfull and all spoke english. The local village of Roissy is only a 5 min walk and has a selection of shops. There are a number of resturants around the village. We would stay again if visiting this area.
“Almost Like Home, This 2 Star Better Than 3 Star, Diamond in the Rough”
I'm not sure how Expedia ranks their hotels but something's amiss. I stayed at another hotel (Hotel Median Roissy CDG Aéroport) that is somehow ranked as a 3 star hotel & it was terrible. (Check out my review there.) This is a two star hotel & it far exceeded our expectations - I think its the best hotel we've ever been to! I won't list it all, but you have everything you need here. The breakfast was great & it seemed the baked goods were fresh (not day or several hours old like the other place). The eating area in the lobby was bright & airy. Great atmosphere. Even though we were at the airport, I don't remember hearing any planes; they certainly didn't wake us up. The shuttle service was fantastic. Our driver (Jean-Pierre I think) was like an older, slightly more overweight George Cloony. He was very, very kind and went above & beyond to help us out with non-hotel stuff and get around. The staff was alright for the most part. I didn't give them a 5 only because of a transportation related interaction with the front desk: We arrived at the pickup point just after 2:30pm. I called the hotel to get the shuttle and the guy said 3:30. After having been up since 6:30 and been in the city all morning, we were exhausted. We called back about 30-45 minutes later and the guy said "I rememer you and I already told you 3:30". I asked him if "we're just supposed to wait an hour?" but he didn't care, repeated the time, and was rude hanging up. We took a cab.
“Good start for a trip to France”
I stayed with my family, a party of four, for an over night. We found the place simple but extremly convinient that met our needs. The place is neat, well setup and nicely taken care off. It is still new and therefore the grounds are still being developed. I expect in time the garden will grow and add to the place charm, and I hope the decor will be well maintained, to match. A short charming walk to the village center gets you to a variety of shops. Ask the desk for a map or to point out the shortcuts. You can prepare the meals in the room.
“Nice place to stay, but...”
We enjoyed our stay with a few minor glitches. Our GPS would try to take us down a different street, so at first, we had a little trouble finding the complex. The staff at the front desk couldn't find our Expedia Booked reservation at first (this took about 10 minutes). The room lights/electricity only turns on with the room key- so get two keys when you check in. Weekends, the shuttle driver does not work, so the shuttle that serves several other motels in the vicinity is intermittent and unreliable. The day pass to Paris on the train/bus/metro is quite pricy (18 Euros per person). On the second day, we were brave enough to drive our rental car into Paris and found that to be much more convenient and less expensive in terms of gas and parking. The room itself was quite comfortable and since I did the cooking most days, it was less expensive than going out to the restaurants. The kitchenette is well stocked with utensils and dishes. Knowing what we know now, we would happily go back to this complex and stay a week- the price was right!
