“Family Friendly in Paris”

A good choice for location to museums and Metro. One of the few choices for families and the pool was a nice benefit for our granddaughter. We had booked a Jr. Suite but were upgraded to a Suite.

“Would go back”

We were delighted with the hotel. It is very central and was very comfortable despite undergoing major renovations. Our room was a suite with far more space than we expected and accomodated the four of us easily. The breakfasts were an unexpected bonus and delicious. We would happily go back to the hotel and recommend it to anyone else.

“Look no further, this is the place to stay when in Paris”

Location, location, location - it doesn't get any better than this. I travelled alone but was made to feel welcome. The guys at reception aren the best hotel staff I have met to date. Had a great room that was large and clean. I don't have to think twice about where I'm going to stay next time I'm in Paris.

“Can't wait to stay again when the spa is finished”

Situated on the Rue de Rivoli, opposite the Louvre you could not hope for a better base to explore the heart of the city. The hotel has been refurbished recently to a high standard but still retains the character of the original 17th century city block it sits within. Our room was immaculate with a very comfortable double bed. The bathroom was nicely turned out - granite floors and walls, only slight gripe was that the frameless glass shower door didn't keep the water in the shower too well! The room was warm and comfortable - a welcome sanctuary from the freezing weather outside! We had dinner in the hotel restaurant and found the food to be excellent - and reasonably priced (for Paris) given the variable quality but consistently over-priced restaurants you find in the centre of the city. The spa was undergoing renovation when we stayed (at the end of November) but the swimming pool was open and provided a refereshing dip in the morning.

“Perfect city, perfect location, lovely hotel”

Despite being on the busy Rue de Rivoli, the St. James and Albany is an oasis of beauty, quiet, service and calm. Can't beat the location for walking all over the city.

“Unbelievable location & facilities at this price!”

I took my husband on a surprise trip to Paris and this was the hotel I chose - naturally I was terrified that it wouldn't look like it does online but - shock - it actually looks better. It's directly opposite the Tuileries metro stop, next to the Louvre and across the river from the Musee D'Orsay. The bateaubus stop is just the other side of Tuileries too. It's nicely Parisian, the public areas are lovely, the staff are reassuring, the bed was comfy, the window opened, the bar got in ingredients specially to make our favourite cocktail and the pool and gym are far better then you would normally expect in a city! Take your own hairdryer (I'm hardened to bad dryers but sticking my head out of the window dried my hair quicker - in March) but that's all you need. Go to the block behind the hotel for some cute, some useful shops. Don't be fooled - if you see a good price for this, it's not because there's something wrong with the hotel. I've had some bad experiences and you can always read about those (who doesn't love to complain?!) but this was a great experience. Have fun!

“Surprise Honeymoon Break”

This hotel was a surprise honeymoon break for my new wife and myself, with only a few days for us to be away. The location was perfect for wonderful walks in the park or along the river. With easy access to main sights and shopping areas. The interior of the hotel was really nice and the staff very warm and welcoming. We splashed out on breakfast during our stay which was good, but a little expensive...but set us up for the rest of the day. We had a meal in the bar which was cooked and served well and at a reasonable price. We plan to use the hotel for future trips and would recommend it to anyone.

“Great for a family”

The room we had on the second floor was fantastic for a family. It was a split level room with two substantial singlebeds on the lower level and a double on the upper level. Plenty of space for city centre hotel. The pool was fantastic and they had no problem with the children having fun in the pool.
