Although the hotel was quaint & provides the Paris vibe you would expect from an older hotel. Safety was a huge concern for my friend and I. The keys are left in cubbies behind the desk which is not properly attended. one day we were given the wrong key # - giving us access to someone else's room. I realized his mistake, and brought the key back. Two times we went to return our key before leaving and no one was at the desk. A guy came in while we were standing there and retrieved a key- was it his? or someone else's. We brought this up with the attendant, and she said "we have to leave to go to the bathroom." Which means, anyone can come in off the street, take your room key while the attendant is using the bathroom. If safety is important to you, then I would not recommend this hotel.

We just returned from our Paris trip and staying at the Hotel & Spa Saint Jacques. We loved this hotel! The staff were simply amazing and great to talk with. They arraigned round trip airport transportation for us and we always available to help with questions. The room was very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The breakfasts were delicious and filling! The hotel is perfectly located for walking to many museums and landmarks. We walked everywhere and everything we wanted to see and do was well within a hour or less walk. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will stay there again on our next visit to Paris.

This is a beautiful, old building that has been modernized. The lobby is small but very well decorated. The staff are absolutely fabulous and will go above and beyond to help in any way they can. The hotel is well located in the Latin Quarter with many bars and restaurants close by. It is also very close to the Metro, Notre Dame and the Pantheon. Overall, our stay was fantastic. The only reason I am marking the hotel down a little is due to the room. The room was exceptionally clean but very small. In a European City, I would expect the room to be small so this wasn't a problem. However, there was no drawers in the room at all. There was a wardrobe with 6 hangers in it. For a week for 2 people, that doesn't give much space for clothes. Also, the wardrobe was so close to the end of the bed, you couldn't really get past it to get to the bathroom or out of the room. The other issue with the room was the bathroom. Again, it was small but very clean and modern. The shower, which had plenty of hot water and great water pressure, was inside the very high bathtub. Anyone with mobility issues would not be able to get in and out of this bath. Also, there was no grab rails so stepping out of the shower was rather treacherous as the water always came out of the shower onto the tiled floor making it extremely slippery. Overall, my husband and I loved our stay here but there are just a couple of things that need attention.

My mother, daughter and I recently traveled to Paris and stayed at this beautiful property. Staying at St. Jacques was one of our favorite parts of our trip. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind and our bedroom was both beautiful and comfortable. The hotel itself is incredibly convenient to sites, shops, and restaurants. The neighborhood is very safe. We highly recommend this beautiful property!

This hotel is excellent!!! It is located just below the Pantheon, minutes walk to almost everything, such as Metro station, restaurants of different styles, supermarkets, bakeries, cafes, laundry marts. All the staff there were super nice and super helpful. They gave us a very warm welcome and let us in the room even we arrived long before the check in time (supposed to be 3 pm). During our stay, they went out their ways and tried their best to help us. They made us feel like home (thanks a million!). The hotel is decorated the old style (many paintings, statues in the reception area, the hallway, in the room etc.) but with modern convenience and comfort. For example, there is nice staircase but also an elevator. Our room was not big but it has almost everything needed. There is a queen size bed and a real single bed (not a couch bed), perfect for a family of three like us. The room has a full bathroom, a balcony, a closet, a table, a chair and two nightstands and it has air conditioning. I stayed in two hotels before in Paris for work. They were nice but this one certainly is better.

we loved our stay at Spa and Hotel Saint Jacques. The staff were extremely nice and helpful, and the hotel is a beautiful boutique style hotel with amazing Parisian charm. Our room had a balcony with the most wonderful view of city, tip of Notre Dame, and Pantheon on the other side. We would definitely stay here again on our next stay.

The hotel was charming, and the location perfect for exploring Paris. The staff was very helpful. A bakery with the best croissants aux amends was only 1 block away.

I absolutely loved this hotel! We very much were looking for a hotel that exuded a French ambiance, and the décor of the lobby and the room exceeded our expectations. Upon arrival (sleep deprived and exhausted from our transatlantic flight), we were greeted by pleasant staff, who not only assured us that our room was ready, but had even upgraded our room. We were able to get in a cat nap which set our vacation off on the right foot. The upgraded room had the most quaint and perfect balcony (perfect for sipping café in the morning and taking in the city sights and sounds). The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay, but it was exemplified the most as we were leaving the hotel. On the last day as we were leaving (intending to take the RER to the airport) the concierge noted to us that the RER was experiencing heavy delays and arranged for a taxi to transport us instead. she provided us with cappuccino and pastries as we waited. The taxi arrived within minutes and thus our trip was not delayed and we were able to start the day with food & drink in our bellies. The location of the hotel was a mere block away from Maubert metro stop which made it super convenient to get where ever you wished to go; and for the first day, a simple jaunt up the hill to the Pantheon was a quick adventure to start off our trip. I can not emphasize enough how wonderful our experience was.

The staff was lovely and we had a nice time. The rooms were too small for a family of three even though we booked the family room. Also we had a balcony which we liked but the street noise kept us awake for most of the week.

Great hotel near all major sightseeing
The hotel is very nice and very central near all the sightseeing spots. All major sightseeings are close by such as Seine River, Louvre Museum, Sainte Chapelle, Pantheon, Eiffel Tower, Notre-Dame. The other sites such as War Museum, Champs-Elysées, Arc de Triumph are easily accessible by foot, metro or buses that are within blocks away from the hotel. There are several restaurants and bars walking distance as well. The personnel is very nice and attentive. The rooms are a bit small and so is the bathtub. There’s a spa with saunas and all season shower included in the daily rates.

Very lovely hotel! In the midst of dining, shopping, and tourism. A quaint space with vintage tradition and excellent service. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was superb housed in a basement space decorated traditionally. My room was small but cozy. WiFi was robust and never had to reset. This is a great place to visit and they certainly make you feel welcomed.

Hotel & Spa Saint Jacques is simply wonderful! I have been going to Paris for over 12 years and stayed in many different hotels there. This is the second time I have stayed at Saint Jacques and so look forward to being there again. This is a charming hotel in a perfect area. The rooms are well appointed and large for Paris standards. The spa is so inviting and so nice after hours of walking in Paris . Lots of cafes and restaurants on the rue ecole as well. With all that said the truly best part of my time at St Jacques is the totally amazing staff!!! From the moment you walk in until you leave, this staff makes every effort to make you feel at home and accommodate your needs. Doa greeted me first day… she is just delightful and helped me with all my needs and questions.. her smile is contagious and just a lovely person… Lastly, I must talk about Khatia. I met Khatia four years ago and she remembered me right away on this visit. She is simply the most amazing young lady! She brings so much joy to those who meet her.. she is such an asset for this hotel. Merci Khatia! You are the best! I encourage all to stay at Hotel Jacques! Again merci for a wonderful stay ! Located in a beautiful neighborhood within walking distance of most of Paris's great sights, Hotel Saint Jacques offers excellent value. We had a spacious room with a small balcony and from there we could look over the roof tops at the spires of Notre Dame. A bistro is right across the street that serves good quality, reasonably priced food including onion soup, escargot, etc. And the neighborhood is not overrun with tourists.

Lovely little hotel. Well located. Near a Metro stop. Friendly and helpful staff. My room had a wonderful balcony (with a small table and chairs) and a view of Notre Dame and the Pantheon. Extensive breakfast buffet. I would definitely stay there again.
