“good value”
good location; quiet street so can sleep with windows open
“Location, Location, Location.”
Besides the very friendly and courteous staff, the second best feature of this hotel is it's location near the Paris Opera area. Very convenient when arriving by the Roissy Bus from Charles De Gaulle airport; and then just a couple quick Metro stops, and a short/safe walk. Very easy to find, when equipped with a proper map ahead of time. The hotel was very close to both the massive Printemps Department Store complex and their world famous automated/musical 'Christmas Time' window displays (which are loved by young and old alike); and the huge Galleries Laffeyette with their indulgent/extensive gormet food floor (great for your daily wine, cheese, meat, and bread picnics). Also lots of nice restaurants nearby; as well as sandwich shops, and a super fabulous take-away crepe' shop (which sells piping hot crepes with everything imaginable on them - including rum! ) The main thing about the location was that it seemed to be in a more upscale/safe part of the city; in contrast to the very hectic/questionable areas near some of the main train stations. While the room was a little smaller than we were used too; it was very cosy, clean, quiet, and safe. All in all, great place for the price. The friendly staff even helped with the last morning wake up call and shuttle van pickup for the airport; which went off like 'clockwork'. Only drawback to this visit was that we could not stay there longer. Thank You, Expedia and to the BW Saint Augustin Elyse'es.
“Very good deal for the money”
The hotel is just off the very popular Rue Hausmann, close to the St. Augustine church. A very nice area. It is on a little side street, so there is no traffic noise. The hotel managers were very halpful with wquestions about locations in the city, even printing out things from their computer to help us find the attractions we were seeking. The room was smaller than what is pictured on their website (much smaller), but it was comfortable. The bed was just right, and the bathroom clean, with a good shower that provided a generous amount of softened water. THe hallways were clean, and the entire hotel seemed very well maintained. Our bathroom light stopped working on Saturday evening, and I told the manager the next day, but it was not fixed by the time we had to leave the folowing Monday morning. Perhaps they could not reach their maintanance man over the weekend. Otherwise we had a nice time there, and I'd definitely go back.

“Chic hotel within quick walking distance to the metro”
I guess since I didn't expect much, this hotel way exceeded my expectations. It was nicely decorated, close to the metro and located right next to St. Augustin. The rooms are small, but this is normal in Paris. For one person it was perfect and it would be adequate for two.
