“Great Location--my second stay”

If you want a safe place to stay that is within walking distanc of major Paris attractions--this is the place. You get a little kitchenette, a bed, TV, a clean bathroom--if you want more than that go elsewhere. My teenage son and I stayed for 3 days and loved being able to walk to markets, bars, restaurants, and the Louvre, etc. Metro close by as are useful bus lines. This arrondismont is full of art galleries and boutiques--and life. The downstairs restaurants and bars are crowded and noisy--so join in! I can't wait to go to Paris again--and I am booking this place: price, location, and no frills(who is going to need "frills"--this is Paris: don't plan to spend time in a hotel room!).

“perfect paris stopover”

the residence st sulpice is in a fantastic location near beautiful shops and restaurants. our room was basic but clean and sheets and towels changed every day. it's not a hotel so no front desk to book restaurants etc just what we wanted though...we were happier going out for breakfast on the rue du cherche midi than a breakfast buffet any day! excellent value for money.

“Perfect Location”

This hotel was great. I loved it and the area. It was so close to great shopping and restaurants-not to mention St. Suplice church which was amazing. The staff was friendly and very helpful. It was a good size for a European room, very clean, and safe. I loved it and will stay there again when I get back.

“excellent accommodation in a great area”

this is not a typical hotel. There is no reception, you just ring before arrival, press a bell, and go into your room. The rooms are not large (as in most hotels in old Paris) but comfortable and very clean. There is fast wifi as well. The best thing is the location - in the middle of St Germain. Historical area (the palace of Capt de Treville from the Three Musketeers was appararently just around the corner), with lots of great sites, restaurants and bars. I have stayed here before and I will stay here again.

“Highly Recommended (For those who want to be in the loud/lively hub of Paris)”

- Check in was a little bit odd because there is no formal reception desk but it all went smoothly and efficiently. - Rooms are big and airy with two large windows facing the busy street below. - Washroom is new and rooms come equipped with full kitchen/utensils. - Iron and iron board is also available. - Location is EXTRAORDINARY!!!! It's the in St. Germain area and takes five minutes to walk to the fountain at St. Michel. Les Deux Magot is up the street and Pierre Hermes is walkable in two minutes. YSL also has a store at the corner of the street. I could not have been happier with the location. Considering the large size of the rooms and cleanliness of it I would highly recommend it to my friends and family. - Only downside I would have to point out is that the streets below are almost permanently loud and busy considering there are clubs/bars along the strip but if you can sleep with ear plugs or (like me) are looking to be the in middle of the lively Parisian crowds then the noise really shouldn't be an issue. - Another thing that I should point out is that I've been to Paris before and can speak French therefore didn't need the advice/help of the receptionist. If you are unfamiliar with the city and think you may need some help/suggestions from a hotel worker then perhaps Residence St Sulpice may not be for you. In conclusion, I would definitely come back here next time I am in Paris!!!

“Paris find - good for kids”

We stayed for three nights in the top room, which has two floors, two baths and the ability to sleep four. It was cramped (we have a teen and a pre-teen) but for the cost and what we needed (cooking facilities, ability to get around without a car) it was terrific. There were three metro (subway) stops within a two minute walk and you can get anywhere from there in a short period of time. The neighborhood is expensive (Left Bank with the very pricy stores) but there's a supermarket nearby (big help) and with the fridge and stove, we made pasta a couple of nights, bought sodas and fruit and it was really good. Be aware, you have to sleep with the windows open in summer (it gets warm, but there's a breeze, we did fine) so if there's a soccer/football game on, you WILL hear the crowd cheer or groan, as there are a few bars close by. We sadly didn't find the gourmet pastry shop until the last morning - YUM. Two blocks. Internet cafe hard to find (ask the owner) but it's also a short walk. The elevator holds two slim people (400lb limit); otherwise you wait or climb the ancient staircase round and round and round and round. Our 11 year old son loved going down it; up, not so much. It's got a lot of character. For the price, really, really excellent.

“Clean, budget hotel in the heart of Paris”

The hotel was very clean and in a great neighborhood where it is alive 24/7. The only drawback as mentioned by other reviewers is the fact that there is no reception desk and that you have to be buzzed in the first day you arrive. But, it really was no problem for us, because once we were in the room, we had our own key to enter the building, so it was more like coming back to our own apartment rather than a hotel. Paris is a great city, and this hotel is walking distance to most major places (We even walked back from Tour Eiffel, even though it took an hour, we did some sightseeing on the way, so it was worth it). And it was the cheapest hotel we could find that was right at the center and had a private bathroom in the room. We also had a kitchen sink, refrigerator and tv in the room. It was one of the hottest times of Paris when we were there, and there was no AC in the hotel (only a small fan), but since we were only in the room to sleep for a couple hours, it wasn't a big problem.

“Really cool little place”

I really enjoyed staying here. Just myself and a girlfriend and it was prefect. Very safe and secure and private. The room is very small and basic, but a good place to crash. Clean and cozy. Located in a really cool area with lots of little bars, cafes, restaurants. I would def reccommend it.

“Great room and nice service”

The room we booked was like a small apartment. Very well kept and had a fridge and stove. Just needed WIFI to be perfect. If you don't mind being on a busy street (bars/restaurants), this is the place to stay in Paris.

“Great on a budget”

They offer no frills stay in great location. The hotel is small, no front desk or the the pampering of a hotel, but we had a great, clean room with a small kitchen (a cooktop, small fridge, microwave oven and basic kitchenware). Would definitely return and recommend, it is the place to stay if you are on a budget, have an idea of what you want to do and want to be in a central location, close to the subway.
