“Excellent small hotel near Louvre”
I arrived early in the morning from CDG, and because my room was free was able to check in. The room was compact, handsomely decorated and well appointed. Although it was on the second floor, overlooking a busy street, good glazing and heavy draperies made it nearly light and sound-proof. Hotel staff was courteous, helpful and the lobby, with French newspapers and magazines, was as nicely decorated as my room. One can have breakfast ,not included in the nightly rate ,brought up to the room but I took mine in a brasserie one block down rue St.Honoré. The Louvre, the Tuileries Gardens and the Place Vendôme are all an easy walk. So are the Comédie Française and the Tuileries Métro station. I think my taxi from Opéra, where Roissybus from CDG lets passengers off, was about 10 Euros.
“A gem on Saint-Honoire”
A charming little hotel with a friendly staff and a great location a stone's throw from the Louvre and Tuileries.
“Can't beat location for price”
Stayed for 5 days with my young daughter. Could not ask for a better location. A couple of blocks from Louvre and Jardins De Tuilerie on a nice street. Never was able to get wireless connection in my room despite their help but could in lobby. Room very small (second floor) and pretty basic, but hey it's Paris and for the price the location was excellent. Walked everywhere and felt safe. Some street noise at night but not too loud. Did not take the continental breakfast offered for 13 Euro but wish I had. Only place cheaper was the bakery just down the street to left of hotel. Everywhere else nearby where we sat down for breakfast was about 35 Euro for a lonely plain omelet, croissant, one cafe au lait, one OJ, and a croque monsieur (sandwich). Angelina's tea room just around the corner on the Rue Rivoli. A must visit. Ask hotel for good dinner recommendations. Bought some basic provisions across the street (water, juice, yogurt etc) but limited room in mini bar to store anything. Got a late checkout as flight was not till 8pm. Charged for half a day but that was okay as we could shower and change after a hot day of sightseeing.
“You pay for the location”
Extremely well located, charming but could be improved. Need better bed linens. The bed covers looked too old and tired. I did not get the fresh floral colour decor as it appears in the pictures, it was more like staying at a traditional grandmother bedroom. Small room but very clean. The staff were very nice. I did not try the breakfast, therefore I am not able to judge.
