“Thought I would be in a different area”

I was under the impression the hotel was close by Blvd. Montparnesse. It wasn't. I was told it is still considered in the "Area of Montparnasse" Whatever that means. If you are flying to New York to be in the "Big Apple" you don't want to be accommodated in Queens, Brooklyn, The Bronx or, Staten Island do you???

“Nice hotel”

It is a nice hotel, quite good service (e.g. umbrella lending when raining, you can leave your baggage at the reception on your last day, when you check out at 11:00 and your flight is at 20:00) Quite clean, we were at 7th floor - no noise, good heating, close to Metro.

Seul bémol, le petit chauffage d'appoint sur roulette qui ne peut être branché dans la salle de bain faute de prises, le fil est trop cour pour l'installer dans la salle de bain. Le métro est à 20 mètres, très pratique. Chambre sur cour très calme.

The hotel was only a few feet from a metro stop which made traveling about the city extremely convenient. The room was nothing special, but it was very clean and pretty comfortable. The walls were rather thin though so we were often woken up pretty early by kids yelling in the rooms nearby. The staff was very nice and helpful. We were on a rather small budget, so for what we spent, I was happy with this hotel.

Si je suis relativement contente de mon séjour, j'avoue qu'ayant ma chambre à coté de l'ascenseur j'ai mal dormi car j'entendais l'ascenseur et la chambre n'était pas assez bien insonorisée.

“perfectly adequate Paris hotel”

The hotel is not spectacular, but is a good standard in Paris. The staff were friendly and helpful, and spoke more English than I was expecting. The breakfast was not great, but was similar to others I've had in Parisian hotels.

“Quite reasonable”

In short: the staff were friendly, although the hotel was a little dated. I visited at the time of the Paris metro strike, and the night porter told me I wouldn't need to book a taxi until the morning; meaning that he couldn't be bothered to call one, and sure enough, when I tried to book a taxi the following morning, all were fully booked. However, the staff that following morning were still friendly and helpful. All-in-all - for a low cost, it's a reasonable hotel. No WiFi or Ethernet service; standard fare in the minibar; but the location is convenient (end of Metro line 4), and the area reasonably nice.

Looks good at first glance, (pictures, etc,) but really for the price, is worth to spend 20 minutes more researching. Not big, not too clean, no big mainteinance.
