“perfectly adequate Paris hotel”
The hotel is not spectacular, but is a good standard in Paris. The staff were friendly and helpful, and spoke more English than I was expecting. The breakfast was not great, but was similar to others I've had in Parisian hotels.
“Great location, easy access to Metro”
We wanted a hotel that gave us easy access to the Metro as we planned to use it extensively to get around Paris, and it worked out extremely well - the Porte d'Orleans station was just a few meters away from the hotel's front door, which gave us access to all of the major sites within 15-30 minutes. It was great !
“Thought I would be in a different area”
I was under the impression the hotel was close by Blvd. Montparnesse. It wasn't. I was told it is still considered in the "Area of Montparnasse" Whatever that means. If you are flying to New York to be in the "Big Apple" you don't want to be accommodated in Queens, Brooklyn, The Bronx or, Staten Island do you???
“paris orleans”
I had a very good experience. The wireless internet speed was excellent and the room was clean and comfortable, but the ac was weak for a hot summer.
“Quality stay at the Quality Hotel Paris Orleans!”
Great stay! I'd love to do it all again! Staff was so pleasant, spoke English and went out of their way to help when possible. We didn't eat at the hotel, so I can't comment on the breakfast, there were plenty of cafes near by and the location was great for transportation, the tram stop and subway on the block made access to Paris so easy. No air conditioning, but the windows open and the nights were cool, so we were comfortable. I can't really see any negatives other than that. The rooms were clean, non-smoking & comfortable, what more could you ask?
“Not impressed at all, there must be 10 better chices”
Looks good at first glance, (pictures, etc,) but really for the price, is worth to spend 20 minutes more researching. Not big, not too clean, no big mainteinance.
“We'd love to go back to at a future date in the springtime, and I'd use this hotel again.”
While we totally enjoyed our stay in Paris, and I would use this hotel again, the rooms are kind of small. We didn't mind, though, because we weren't in the room very much. If we had to stay in the room for an extended period of time for any reason, this would be a small room to relax in. The hotel is very convenient to good local restaurants, the Metro station is a very short walk away - 2 minutes - and the staff was the best. Very helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet was expensive, but the food is good.
“Great Hotel - Great area of Paris”
I loved this hotel. Artsy, bright, clean, safe. It's down in the Montparnasse area of Paris in the 14th arrondisment - not a tourist-y area - but a part of the city where "regular" life goes on. Great restaurants of all kinds close by, shopping, parks. A patisserie just across the street so you can have your pain du chocolate every morning. You can almost see the Metro stop from the front door of the hotel so it's very convenient for getting around. I'd stay again next time I'm in Paris.
“Good hotel for the cost”
good hotel for the cost. no frills but it has everything you need,it's clean and has A/C.Close to metro so you can get anywhere pretty quickly.
“Hidden Jewel”
We found this hotel to be very clean and have a friendly multi-lingual staff. It is VERY close to the metro station, which you have to use to get anywhere, so why not stay out of "town" a little bit? The price was very reasonable for what you get. I was pleasantly surprised.
