“perfect hotel in Paris”
The Provinces Opera hotel was the perfect place to stay in Paris. It is moderately priced and a metro ride away from everything. The hotel was neat and clean and our room was perfect. The hotel employees treated us as honored guests and we will definately go back to The Provinces Opera hotel the next time we visit Paris.
“We would go back.”
The hotel is comfortable, but nothing fancy. We have stayed here twice. However, for our next trip to Paris we plan on looking for another hotel, one with a few extras. This hotel is a good one, especially if you are on a budget. We recommend that when you go walking, you walk in the direction of the Place d'Opera. Walking in the opposite direction will lead you to the more impoverished area of Paris and the red light district. It made us uncomfortable and feel unsafe.
“Paris Hotel Gare d'Nord July 2010”
Nice place to relax. Good service, comfortable room with A/C. Our room had a spacious bathroom (which for Paris, is a bonus), so very happy. Not sure every room has the same privilege. Good value for a 3 star hotel in Paris. Hotel location is not close to any major landmarks, but only a step away from 2 metro lines. We stayed two nights, very satisfied.
“Pleasantly surprised!”
This hotel was a pleasant surprise in a number of areas. The location was convenient, a 15 minute walk to the 'Opera', and a block and a half away from the Metro. The room was larger than I expected for a single, with an extremely clean washroom. Being on the top floor, I assumed odd ceiling angles, but it was not bothersome. It had a telvevision (with working remote), a small oval table, and a working safe (not large enough for a notebok), but no fridge. Wireless internet access was free and the speed was good. Just ask at the desk and they'll print you off an access code. For the price, I would definitely go back and stay there again.
“Old and run down”
Hotel staff at night were not helpful when we asked for information. The hotel did not provide ice machines. It was old and the floor in our room slanted to one side and was uneven. Renovations are definately needed to update this hotel. This maybe the standard for the hotels in this area.
“Great value for a central location”
In contrast to another review here, my room was actually FREEZING, rather than warm (although the hallways were warm). The thermostat in my room didn't seem to work either. However I should mention that I didn't bother mentioning it to the front desk since I was only there for two nights, so I cannot gauge how quickly the problem would have been fixed. Otherwise, the hotel was great. Very clean, and fantastic value for such a central location in Paris. Breakfast was very ample.
“Awesome hotel if you don't mind burglars”
My friends and family stayed in this hotel in March 08. We rented 4 rooms for 7 people. The hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. Specifically, for the price, the location was perfect, the hotel was very clean, and the rooms were spacious. In fact, at one point, I told my girlfriend that this hotel was now my favorite hotel for Paris. Unfortunately however, my friend's door was kicked down by some thieves and their possessions were stolen. Of course, this may happen anywhere but it happened here and therefore, I can never stay here again.
“a 3 stars hotel you may try”
good location, close to the metro, convenient to go sightseeing, reasonable room rate
