“Nice quiet hotel, very nice staff”

not sure why some didn't like this hotel. French rooms, esp. Paris are small. The layout was a little odd, toilet in a small closet at one end of the room and sink/shower at the other but both were roomy clean and in good repair compared to our other accomadations in France. The hotel staff all spoke good english and were very friendly, our early wake up call came right on time and a taxi was called to take us to De Gaulle in plenty of time for our flight. The neighborhood was nice and quiet and we enjoyed the walk to the Arc. The minibar was also very reasonable (cheaper than cafes). Definitely worthwhile. The key in the outlet was a nice energy saving tip.

“Not the best of rooms or location”

The room was very small and not conveniently located to the metro. The staff was very good and helpful, but the room was not very comfortable and you had to go to the lobby to use wi-fi for your laptop. I feel the room was overpriced.

“Nice hotel if you are looking to be away from the craziness of Paris”

Overall, the experience was not terrible. First off, the room is really small. Everything inside was very old, but the room was spotless. You could tell the carpet had been replaced in the last 5 years. There is no air conditioning in any of the rooms, which we were kind of surprised about. However, we were given a fan to use along with opening the windows and at night, the room was cooler. There are no clocks in the room so bring a travel clock. We did have a little issue with electricity, we blew up one hairdryer that we brought with us, and the one in the room didn't work either. They were willing to give us a different room with a working hairdryer, but it wasn't worth the move. The elevator holds two people or only one person with a suitcase; there were times when it wasn't working, and when it was working, it was very slow. The beds were subpar. There was one staff member who spoke very little English, but the rest of the staff were very helpful. It was about a 15 minute walk to the nearest metro or RER station, but there was a bus stop about 1 block away. We were kind of far from all the major attractions, but again, the metro and RER were available. The neighborhood was residental and very safe. Felt comfortable walking home late at night. If you plan on staying very little time in the room, this hotel would be a suggestion. If budget is also an issue, this is a good place to stay. If you have money to spend, don't stay here.

“lOCATION NOT BAD,BUT NOT TOO IMPRESSIVE”

The location is good for buses and subways;near a laundromat, post office, church, grocery; It is also convenient to go to the heart of Paris by bus and trains-subways.The bad part, the rooms are too narrow;not too much hanging space or closet;elevator is narrow and old;Concierge people not too friendly, except one girl, very helpful; not too much bus inf, but had train maps and maps'there are no nearby public phones; they has a good maid service;Hotel had no restaurant, just an available continental breakfast space; Good thing there was a nearby bakery. It is a very small hotel.

“get for budget travelers”

My husband and I were on a three week honeymoon all over Europe, so you can imagine having to budget hotels. I will be very honest...This hotel is in a great little neighborhood. You will have to walk about 5-7 minutes to the nearest underground metro. There you can go anywhere in the city. walking down the street you will be near cafes and small little convenient stores, and a pharmacy. The location was nice and the price was great. The actual room was small, but it has everything you need. A little old in style. The front desk people were very helpful in directing me to the metro and the internet cafe. There is Wi Fi downstairs if you need it. Overall, it was a great deal and I would stay again for the price.

“ok on a budget”

Location is ok - about 10 mins walk from Wagram tube station, surrounding area is nice, happy to walk back to hotel late at night, no problem. Room - dated and could do with a re-vamp. However bed was clean and the bathroom cleaned each day. Bed was a bit on the hard side however! Also duvet wasn't very thick. Good if you are on a budget!

“A "can recommend" hotel in view of its room rate”

"Everthing was as I expected" is the phrase that realy reflects my impression. Although the rooms are small, I found it better to take a double room instead of single and the room size would differ much. Free wireless internet is available in the lobby and only in the first floor! The sheets are clean, good command of housekeeping. Almost 90% of TV channels are french?.Reception personnel are friendly and speak at least 3 languages (not common in France). The single lift is seriously small. The most desired feature is that it is located next to many groceries and buffets' and an easy transport to Arc De Triumphe using Bus 31 from the next corner.
