“Ideal for budget travelers”
When booking this hotel, just bear in mind that it is for budget travelers. It is true that the rooms are far too small and really dated. While there is little that can be done about the rooms' size, a fresh coat of paint, new carpeting and furniture would go a long way. But...the hotel is conveniently located and affordable...and...no one comes to Paris to sit in a hotel room anyway.
“Not as in the pictures”
Staff is nice but the cleanliness of the room not.
“A perfect place to sleep over in Paris”
I've read the mostly negative critics, before I travelled to Paris, and was a little excited, how the hotel would be, but I can say only good things about it. The hotelroom was not big, but comfortable enough to sleep in it. The stuff was nice, kind, they didn't speek english very well, but we understood everything. The bed was very good, the bath was clean and had a hairdryer too. We didn't have breakfast, but next to the hotel there are a lot of oportunity to buy one. So, do not listen to the bad critics!
“Not the best of rooms or location”
The room was very small and not conveniently located to the metro. The staff was very good and helpful, but the room was not very comfortable and you had to go to the lobby to use wi-fi for your laptop. I feel the room was overpriced.
“get for budget travelers”
My husband and I were on a three week honeymoon all over Europe, so you can imagine having to budget hotels. I will be very honest...This hotel is in a great little neighborhood. You will have to walk about 5-7 minutes to the nearest underground metro. There you can go anywhere in the city. walking down the street you will be near cafes and small little convenient stores, and a pharmacy. The location was nice and the price was great. The actual room was small, but it has everything you need. A little old in style. The front desk people were very helpful in directing me to the metro and the internet cafe. There is Wi Fi downstairs if you need it. Overall, it was a great deal and I would stay again for the price.
“A "can recommend" hotel in view of its room rate”
"Everthing was as I expected" is the phrase that realy reflects my impression. Although the rooms are small, I found it better to take a double room instead of single and the room size would differ much. Free wireless internet is available in the lobby and only in the first floor! The sheets are clean, good command of housekeeping. Almost 90% of TV channels are french?.Reception personnel are friendly and speak at least 3 languages (not common in France). The single lift is seriously small. The most desired feature is that it is located next to many groceries and buffets' and an easy transport to Arc De Triumphe using Bus 31 from the next corner.
“not at all like the pictures”
I understand that rooms in Paris are small, but this was MUCH smaller than indicated in the pictures. We had just enough room to walk around the bed and that was all. The people at the desk were not friendly or helpful. I understand it was a budget hotel, but I could have found better. Would not recommend staying here.
“OK”
Room was very small but nicely kept. It was as I expected...nothing flashy but reasonably priced for the facilities. Didn't spend much time there as we were sightseeing a lot.
“Delighted”
This hotel is a boutique hotel, if you require air conditioning or have a fear of smaller spaces or are generally large (Obese) it is not for you. We LOVED this hotel, it was incredibly charming, centrally located, within walking distance of all major landmarks (if you are not lazy) and the staff was TERRIFIC. Despite loving the general area I found the staff to be extreme polite, hospitable, intelligent and funny. They know the surrounding area and can point you in the destination you would like to see. We especially enjoyed the afternoon and evening staff.
“Nice hotel if you are looking to be away from the craziness of Paris”
Overall, the experience was not terrible. First off, the room is really small. Everything inside was very old, but the room was spotless. You could tell the carpet had been replaced in the last 5 years. There is no air conditioning in any of the rooms, which we were kind of surprised about. However, we were given a fan to use along with opening the windows and at night, the room was cooler. There are no clocks in the room so bring a travel clock. We did have a little issue with electricity, we blew up one hairdryer that we brought with us, and the one in the room didn't work either. They were willing to give us a different room with a working hairdryer, but it wasn't worth the move. The elevator holds two people or only one person with a suitcase; there were times when it wasn't working, and when it was working, it was very slow. The beds were subpar. There was one staff member who spoke very little English, but the rest of the staff were very helpful. It was about a 15 minute walk to the nearest metro or RER station, but there was a bus stop about 1 block away. We were kind of far from all the major attractions, but again, the metro and RER were available. The neighborhood was residental and very safe. Felt comfortable walking home late at night. If you plan on staying very little time in the room, this hotel would be a suggestion. If budget is also an issue, this is a good place to stay. If you have money to spend, don't stay here.
