“Pavillon Monceau Hotel”
The hotel desk staff were all extremely knowledgable about the city, friendly and helpful.
“Just excellent!”
Located in a calm neighborhood, hotel provides great comfort for its price. It is rated 3-star, but could definitely quallify for a 4-star hotel. Of course, in Paris you do not expect spatious rooms, but the one i was given was very clean, fully sufficient for one person, especially if travelling on business. Coffee/tea maker is available in the room (which to me matters much). Breakfast available at surcharge, but is very nice. Also, hotel is just 5 mins walk from metro - and then you ride 5-7 mins to the centre. So location is perfect. I have actually stayed also in a different hotel in Paris of same category - but that one was more epxensive, old, awful location. So i would describe my experience with Hotel Pavillon Monceau just as EXCELLENT!
“Clean, charming and convenient to everything!”
The Pavillon Monceau is a family owned hotel in a charming part of Paris, a very short walk from the Wagram Metro station, which allowed us to very easily move about the city wherever and whenever we wanted. There are some wonderful coffee and pastry shops in the vicinity, as well as a supermarket across the street, making the Monceau satisfyingly convenient for our sightseeing visit. The room and bathroom was smallish, but well-appointed, very clean, and impeccably maintained. The desk clerks were all friendly, helpful, and multi-lingual. We were very pleased with our accommodations and would stay here again!
“Pas mal”
Tres bon service, tres aimable, mais chambre assez petite, et notre chambre avait papier peint decolle/traces de moisissure sur une partie du mur. Emplacement excellent, tres calme, et proche de la place des ternes.
“Horrible Service and TINY rooms”
We saw that this hotel had 3 stars I believe? The 2 beds were each smaller than a twin bed, and comfort wise you would be hard pressed to find a hotel in the USA that has less comfortable matresses. The night staff was horrible, my friend and I got back to the hotel at 1:15 AM only to find the doors were locked and the night concierge (if you can even call him that?) was asleep somewhere, although in his defense he woke up and let us in after we pounded on the door for a bit. Next night I was on a long distance call and he disconnected me, when I called downstairs to find out why he did not apologize or anything. He merely said that he closed the line and had reopened it. When I asked WHY he closed the line he snapped at me and told me that it didnt matter why, it was now open. The first night I called for a wake up call no one answered and we tried for about 20 mins. The next night he hung up on me after I said the time and then when I called back to make sure he knew what time it was (as he had not confirmed it) he said "There is a politeness" berating me, I pointed out that he hung up on me and he got all huffy. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!
