“Beautiful and atmospheric hotel”
We spent three nights at the Pavillion de la Reine and prefered it to all other hotels we have stayed in in Paris. The hotel itself was beautiful and full of french character and although our room wasn't huge it was definitely big enough and had a large and beautiful bathroom. Taking a tip from other reviews we requested a renovated room and we could see from wandering through the hotel that that made a difference to our stay. The honesty bar is a great idea and made us feel at home - we would have a drink in the lounge before we left for our evening meal and would stop off for a nightcap before we retired to bed. The fact that there isn't a resaurant in the hotel caused no problems as we enjoyed eating out either near the hotel or further afield. Unless you have the resourses to stay somewhere like the Crillon or the Georges V you could do no better than to stay at the Pavillion de la Reine with its wonderful atmosphere and brilliant location.
“Great location”
Great location for most of Paris sites, quality service and amenities, though the gym was a bit sparse. Le Marais is the best area in Paris to stay, fun just to walk around but also close to most of the big attractions. The junior suite I had wasnt cheap but was well appointed and well maintained - worth the splurge! Only issue was the additional 'tax' charged at check-out in addition to the Expedia (tax /fees inclusive) price...its a Paris tourism fee and is only a couple of euros, but why wouldnt that be included in the quoted rate if its supposed to be inclusive of fees/taxes?
“Absolutely perfect..”
I stayed here for several nights in June of 2011. This hotel is complete perfection. It is not the glitz and glamor of places like the Bristol or Georges V, but every bit as elegant and comfortable. The neighborhood can't be beat. The breakfast is great, the rooms, although "antique" looking and quaint, are comfortable and spacious. Would highly recommend.
“Wonderful hotel”
Stunningly beautiful hotel, friendly efficient staff and in the best location. I stayed with my teenage children and we had a wonderful time. Only thing that could be improved was if they put tea and coffee making facilities in the bedrooms.
“Real charm”
Chose this hotel after a long trawl through the alternatives. The Place des Vosges is a perfect square in the heart of the Marais - lots to see; great to walk around. The hotel is an elegant retreat whise front entrance is in the square - attractively decorated; delightful rooms; attentive staff. Excellent breakfast. Tasteful not flashy. Great area. Not cheap (nor very expensive) but good value. Lift was being repaired - as August not busy - so just as well we were on second floor.
“Excellent”
Great location, rooms excellent specification (although not large), good quality breakfast and nice lounge with honesty bar. Quiet setting - no background noise despite being in a part of Paris with plenty of bars and restaurants just a short walk away. Highly recommended.
“beautiful hotel”
the hotel and location are excellent. only 2 minor complaints: the bedrooms are very atospheric and consequently quite dark making it quite difficult to find things, also the breakfast was quite basic given the cost. other than tht it was the nicest hotel i have stayed in in paris so far (out of 7).
“Comfortable and in a prime location”
A very pleasant stay. The staff were excellent and the Hotel was a pleasure to go back too. Our room, which opened out on to an enclosed courtyard, was quiet and comfrotable, though could have done with a little more storage space.
“loved it”
it's great
