“Fantastic hotel”
Great place to stay in Paris. Ask for a corner room - it was like a suite, and we had a view of the Seine. Clean, helpful staff, free internet, good air conditioning. Everything was great! The only down sides were the lack of food choices in the hotel and it took a good 15 minutes to get to the train station on foot. We will stay here again when we go to Paris - great value.
“The Best Place, with the best Money Value”
Best Location, newly renovated, Excellent Service, The Staff is Extremely Helpful
“EXCELLENT HOTEL”
Excellent Hotel, everything is and was as it should have been, great location, good food and excellent staff always available at every turn to make you stay comfortable. I'm glad i picked this hotel, worth every penny.
“Good Hotel to Stay At”
We stayed for 4 nights in Aug. 2011. Each morning, access to the elevators on the second level (where the reception, concierge, & breafast were located) was restricted between 8:15AM - 10AM (for "maintenance"!), so you needed to be at breakfast before that (with everything you needed to take with you from the hotel), or take the elevator to the 3rd floor & try to find the escalator down to the 2nd floor. Elevators became very crowded at that time, & housekeeping staff seemed reluctant to provide directions to the stairs! Reception, restaurant & concierge staff were pleasant, and all spoke good English. We had a superior room, with a Queen bed & partially separated area with a pull-out couch (good privacy from bed area). Only one TV though--a small one in the bed area. Bed was comfortable, though there were only 4 pillows for the whole room. My teenager commented that the pullout couch was even more comfortable that the bed. A couple of minutes walk to 2 subway lines; also close to several restaurants (incl. McDonalds) & a grocery store. Bistrot Linois served good French food, & Il Teatro had good Italian. Be sure to try the Macaroons (@ McDonalds McCafe & elsewhere)!! It may be advisable to bring Imodium with you though,,,something in the water or food did not agree with me! (You can buy loperamide (generic imodium) at a pharmacy without a prescription if needed)
“Paris in the summer”
We had a wonderful stay at the Novotel. It was an easy walk to the Metro which got us all around Paris. We could even walk to the Eiffel Tower. The staff was great at answering our questions and directing us to little places to eat. The kids were thrilled to have computer access. We had four of us staying in the room but we all felt like we had space. The room was very clean. We loved having a safe in the room to leave our valuables in while we toured around the city. Great breakfast. There were plenty of options to make everyone happy. We truly enjoyed our stay and so will you.
“Family friendly hotel!”
The hotel was great - and very famiy focused. We had requested and were given a corner room because we were traveling with a 7 and 10 yr. old and they typical offer a little more space. The room was very nice and clean. The bathroom was a little small but had a bathtub, stand up shower and sink. The toilet was located in the main hallway leading into our room which was a little strange but it was fine. The most impressive to us was the family time breakfast offered on the 3rd floor - they had tvs showing kid cartoons, game stations and lots of toys/pillows for the kids to play with. It made for a very enjoyable start of our days. The breakfast was a combination of American/European which was delicious too. It was located a short walk (10 min. max) to the Eiffel Tower, Bus stops and Metro. Overall, we loved it and would definitely go back again!
“Enjoyed our stay close to the Eiffel Tower”
We ended up with this hotel at a great price since we made a blind bid on a cheap hotel room! The hotel was very close to the Eiffel Tower and would only take about a 10-15 minute walk. Since we had small children with us we always took a taxi which cost about 8 Euro for 2 adults and 2 children. Even though the hotel did not have our reservation information correct the front desk did everything possible to get us our rooms. They were very apologetic and delivered GREAT customer service. The room was comfortable and clean. My room was on the smaller side but we only used it for sleep. The hotel buffet was not worth the 18 Euro they charged and we ate at a cafe in Paris which was great! The only thing we were disappointed in was a restaurant the concierge suggested. Knowing we had 2 small kids he suggested a bistro down the street that was overpriced, the longest dinner we've ever had, and served the smallest portions! There is a McDonalds behind the hotel which is about a 5 minute walk if you need something quick. There are also OTHER bistros/cafes that looked better then the one the concierge suggested. We even told the concierge how disappointed we were, but he seemed more defensive then anything! Enjoy Paris and visit the Eiffel Tower at night! It's beautiful!!! Also, definitely stay here if you can get a good price!
“Great location”
The Novotel was very nice and within easy walking distance of the Eiffel Tower and public transportation. We stayed with our two young children and the sofa bed in the room was comfortable and ample enough for both of them. The bathroom was very small--really only big enough for one person at a time. Our shower door did not seal well and water leaked onto the bathroom floor, plus the bathroom sink was very slow draining. However, upon notifying the hotel staff of this as we were checking out, they provided us with free parking for the inconvenience (which saved us 50 Euro). The main breakfast buffet was good, however, there was a line (and a 15 min wait) each morning to get in and get seated due to the amount of people that were staying at the hotel. However, the hotel did offer two other options and areas for breakfast (a continental and a Japanese breakfast). Overall very happy with the hotel and a perfect location if you want to be within easy walking distance of the Eiffel Tower. We used the RER underground trains to get where we needed to go, since there is a stop right at the Eiffel Tower. Cheaper option than the tour buses and the boats.
“Excellent hotel!”
The staff at the hotel was very polite, the room was very clean and the view was awsome!Every request we had was solved in a timely manner and our stay there was extremely pleasant!
