“Superb location - Great Staff”
It was unusually warm for October and the airconditioning wasn't working but sleeping with open windows wasn't a problem - very quiet. The staff was extremely helpfule and spoke excellent english. The location just off Madeliene Square was very central and a great place to explore Paris.
“Reservation Involuntarily Cancelled”
We arrived at the hotel just after the 4 pm check in and were told that they had our reservation but cancelled it due to another guest staying longer than expected. The apologized and informed us that they reserved a room under our name at another hotel in the area. The receptionist sent a hotel worker with us to assist in getting our bags to the new hotel. He became lost and we walked in the rain for over an hour before ending up back at th New Hotel Roblin with their employee asking for directions to other hotel. They seemed very unsympathetic. My wife researched this hotel and very much wanted to stay, not to mention we were just off of an 8 hour transatlantic flight and were ready to rest.
“Great Location”
really good hotel close to everything, we almost never used the subway, because we walked everyeware by foot.
“great location”
The hotel has a great location. Many important places are in a walking distance. The hop on hop off busses stop at place de la madelaine.Despite it is a boutique hotel the rooms are small but clean. The only problem we had was the noise. the walls between the rooms and the doors need to be checked.Every morning we had nice breakfast at Fouchon near the hotel next to the madelaine church.
“Location, location, location...”
I was in Paris just for a night, as i was coming from the Americas and had to catch my connecting flight to Asia the next night. The hotel was exactly what i was looking for; excellent location, friendly staff, and a nice clean room. Conveniently close to all the interesting "touristy" areas of downtown Paris, as well as those not so, makes this hotel a pleasant stay for city walkers like me. The downside was that the room didn't look at all as the pictures in their website neither at expedia.com.
“Definitely worth another visit”
The Hotel Roblin helped make our trip very special. I would give a lot of credit to the pleasant and helpful staff especially the concierge who helped make our stay comfortable, and also very effectively guided us on routes and places in Paris that we wanted to or might want to see. The hotel although small, was very clean and cosy and the rooms too were not too big but had eveything you could need. And the concierge and room service made sure that what ever else you needed was readily available. Also centrally located and a lot of places you could walk to and cabs too easily accessible. So in a nutshell a good hotel, reasonably priced and worth more.
“Location is best asset”
This hotel has a great location in the heart of Madeline. It is right by a metro station and several cafes. Downsides are the small rooms (as usual for a hotel in Paris) and the a/c wasn't as cold as I would like. This was the second time i have stayed here...good but not great but overall recommended.
“average hotel”
The hotel room was very small, even though it had all the amenities including A/C. The location was very good with Madeleine metro station next door.
“Outstanding Location”
Outstanding location, merely steps to the shops, cafes and sites in the historic city centre of Gent. I had a nice sized room facing the canal. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast buffet. I would definitely stay here again.
“Shabby”
The service was good and the people very pleasant, however, the hotel was a disappointment as it was definitely not a 4 star as advertised.
