“less than a 3star”
The hotel was really cramped with lot of noise because of the adjacent street. The shower barely had space to stand. I booked a taxi for the airport, they told me it was 30% higher price because i was travelling alone. Next day when the taxi showed up there were 5 people already sitting in there. Felt conned.
“The not so Modern Hotel Moderne”
Location was fantastic. Just one block from the Metro and about a block and half from Notre Dame. The neighborhood was very safe and had good food options as well. When I checked in at 2 p.m. I was given a single room. I had booked a double. The single had not been cleaned. The bed linen was on the floor, ashtrays were overflowing and beer bottles littered the floor. I immediately went back to reception and they gave me the double room I had booked. Thankfully I was only one person in the double room because it was very small, even by European standards. It was certainly not as modern or pleasant as the rooms on their website appeared. However, it was clean and I was comfortable enough. I didn't spend that much time in the room as I was out sightseeing all day. I did consider the hotel good value for the price I paid through Expedia and would consider staying there again on a return trip to Paris.
“Very Convenient - Moderne Saint Germain Hotel”
This 3 star hotel was great for us - couple of tourists. The location is excellent for walking access to metro (5-10 min) or train (10 min) and is easy walking to Notre Dame (15 min) and the Louvre (25 min). Restaurants, coffee shops (including Starbucks), patisseries, etc abound all around the area. The hotel is clean and convenient. The door is manned 24/7 and there is an elevator to all floors. We did not sample the breakfast at the hotel as there was too much choice elsewhere. The rooms were simple, but fine – full bath, air con, wifi, bed, desk and mini fridge. Recommended!
“great location in Paris”
The location is convenient to everything in Paris. Walking distance to major sites plus Metro access nearby. Neat and efficient, this hotel offers good value. Courteous staff willing to help. Clean accommodations. Breakfast was a nice array of varied selections. Would definitely return to this establishment.
“Small and clean”
The hotel is near to turistic atractions and dinner places at Quartier Latin. The acustic insulation is not good and you can heard the water flowing and people talking if don't whispering.
“Excellent location and Comfortable rooms”
We were pleased with the room we had on the sixth floor, with a private bath room - very nice. The problem with the Fridge and TV were quickly corrected and the front desk staff were helpful & pleasant although they do not pretend to be tourist guides or chamber of commerce types. This is a great neighbourhood for restaurants, markets, brasseries, transit and cultural sites or activities. C'est bonne - we recommend this hotel for those wanting to see and enjoy Paris for a few days.
“great value for money”
This hotel is located in the very heart of Paris which means you don't need to take the metro or any other form of transport to see the major sights. It is excellent value for money and the rooms are small but clean. The breakfast area is currently being refurbished so you have to eat in the hotel next door but that is no problem. I would return to this hotel in a heart beat.
“Good basic accomodations”
Quiet, comfortable hotel easily accessible via the Metro and RER.
“ok for a short visit”
the rooms are very small and most of the furniture and equipment is very old. there is not too much noise coming from outside but you can hear everything that is happening on the hallway. the breakfast costs extra which is not so cool considering the price we paid for the room. But the room was clean and the staff was friendly.
“Good budget find in Latin Quarter”
First, this is a budget hotel. It is very well placed close to St Germain and the Latin Quarter, but also near the Moufftard. One block from Maubert Mutualite metro stop. Rooms was very basic and not very comfortable, but reasonably clean. Price is low, but they charge 12 Euros for breakfast, which I was unaware of until I checked out. Recommend for a budget traveller, better when the weather is warmer and the days longer, as you will not want to spend much time in the room.
