“Would definitely go back”

The Hotel is right in front of the Gare de l'Est on Metro line 4 (which connects to all other lines except line 11 and RER E). When exiting the metro, make sure to take "Sortie 8, rue Magenta" to get out on the right street corner. The walls are really thin so it's a good idea to bring earplugs. The rooms are small, but we spent our days visiting the sites so the size is okay for sleeping. The Hotel's best feature is its closeness to the metro station (plus if you stay out late, a night bus stops right across the street from the hotel). The worst feature is the thinness of the walls. I would definitely go back to the hotel and would recommend it to everyone who's willing to sacrifice a bit of space and comfort for a budget trip.
