“Adequate hotel for a city.”
Rooms are adequate but we asked for another room and were given the only one they had updated. This was extremely good, goodsize shower room. The staff were very helpful. Thought the breakfast a bit on the sparse side for the price. However, it was a city!!
“Memorable trip”
The hotel was excellently placed for Versailles, station and restaurants. It was well marked which was useful as we forgot our map how to get there from the station. Definitely recommend.
“Exceeded Expectations - Comfortable & Great Location”
We had planned to stay at another much more expensive hotel in Versailles until I saw some updated photos of the rooms in the Mercure. This hotel was excellent. As most European hotel rooms, the bedroom was small, however the linens and bathroom were great. The service was wonderful and the included breakfast was fantastic. Save yourself a couple hundred Euros and stay here - the location is perfect as well.
“Big improvement on last year”
This hotel has recently undergone a major refurb. The rooms we stayed in 304,305 and 310 were newly refitted. Walk in shower, flat tv, new bedding and decoration. They were spotlessly clean, and worthy of a hotel twice the price. At 2 * prices for 4* rooms and location you can't go wrong!
“Ideal location”
Close to centre, good room, freindly and helpful staff. Good breakfast included
“A spacious quiet hotel in a backstreet near plenty of restaurants”
Compared to most other streets in Versailles, the little backstreet where this hotel is located is very quiet. The rooms are also well soundproofed from outside noise, but some noise comes through from the corridoor. The bed was of a good size and reasonably comfortable with quiet air conditioning in the room, giving us the best sleep for some time. The shower is over the bath with fantastic water pressure, which we also enjoyed very much. The front desk staff were very helpful and the buffet breakfast (available for a small extra charge) was excellent. We would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to someone looking for a place to stay within easy walking distance of Versailles Palace. During peak season, make sure you get there early. 8:30am would be a good idea as the gates open at 9am and there was already a 30 minute queue by that time.
“Proche de tout”
Trés proche du chateua et des jardins de Versailles pour un tarif trés raisonnable. Dans la même rue, quelques restos exotiques intéressants. Peu éloigné de la place du marché oùsont localisés les principaux restaus et commerces.
“good reasonable hotel”
Nice hotel with helpful staff, ideally located for us. But it is a work in progess.
“Good value”
good value for money and excellent central location.
“great position, close to palace”
Very friendly and helpful staff, breakfast was good even though a bit expensive (mainly because of exchange rate).
