“canadian”
Good hotel as a home base only problem is neighbors in the next room were extremely loud and had no idea how to behave in a hotel at night or early morning. Only thing the hotel can do is maybe instruct people to keep there noise level down at night and early morning. It should be common sense. Hotel is located very close to metro station to get downtown is easy by metro. If you drive to the hotel it maybe a nightmare.
“A Nice Hotel”
The hotel is a great place to stay while visiting Paris. It is quiet, clean and safe. There are cafe's and small stores located all around it, including a Pizza Hut. There is a metro very close by, a park and museum across the street.
“One block from Metro!”
The Hotel is only a short walk down the block. They kept our bags on the last day so we could come back, retrieve the bags and take the Metro and connect with a train to the airpot for 3.20 euro for the two of us, vs. the 45 euro that we spent on a taxi on our arrival. A convenience store is right at the Metro are for snacks and inexpensive wine. However, we did not have a corkscrew, so the staff got one from the Restaurant next store.
“A fast trip to paris........8 days just not enough.”
Well the hotel turned out to be a home away from home. The trip was for a Big Birthday of mine and we were with two teenage children. The hotel gave us a two room suite that was on the 9th floor that was a great set up for the weeks stay. The first room was a traditional bedroom that was very comfortable. The second room had a large sofa, chair, table ,fridge and desk unit that left the room lots of space to move around and lounge. The sofa folded out to a large bed for my two teens. They slept like logs but if you know teens this wasn't a surprise. The area around the hotel was a great area with the Metro close, small shops with great food, a beautiful park to get some fresh air after dinner and many small cafe to sit and watch the sights. I had a dental emergency while in Paris that required help and the hotel went out of there way to help. They located an english speaking dentist within walking distanct to the hotel that was willing to see me right away. The dentist fixed the problem and i was able to fly home without worry of having great pain while over the ocean!. i would stay at this hotel again without question. The price was very fair for the services and comfort of the hotel. The staff were freindly and most spoke english. I can't comment on the hotel resturant because twice it was closed during our stay but there are many good places to eat a few min's away. This was a good hotel if you are traveling with teens we also had a second bathroom .
“pratique et bien situé”
A proximité immédiate du Métro. Parking hotel très cher (75€ pour 3 nuits)
“Nice hotel but not that central to the Paris landmarks”
The hotel is a clean and no nonsense hotel. It's location is not as central to the tourist hot spots. It is very close to the number 5 Metro station which connects to a main Metro / train Station Garde De Nord. However every single visit to a tourist attraction required a visit to Garde de Nord station to transfer which added another 20-25 minutes to the journey if using public transport. The surroundings of the hotel are actually are good as they are lots of places to eat - it is however a lower end paris suburb. Do not waste your time buying Internet access from your room at Euros 10 a day as it is slow and does not work. Use the work stations near the lift with a access card. These work stations are connected to a printer and have headphone and mike so skype, MSN and printing itineries, google maps is easy.
“Excellent stay, I plan to stay here again when in Paris for work”
Having stayed in several hotels in Europe, I can say that this hotel was above average. The bed was very comfortable with 2 choices of pillow softness to choose from. The room was large and clean with 4 windows which could be opened. The computer desk which also holds the TV was a bit small but was large enough to setup a laptop and mouse and work. The room I was in (8th floor) offered plug-in internet for 10 EURO a day. It was also a nice bonus to see a North American Plug available at the computer desk. The location of the hotel is very good, 30+ restaurants within 3 blocks around the hotel, and it was less than a block to the Subway station. The Hotel offered breakfast for $18 EURO, I felt it what overpriced for what it offered, but most breakfast in hotels seem to be this way now. I would recommend going to one of the smaller bakeries located minutes away from the hotel for a nice French pastry or croissant at a fraction of the price. There is also a small grocery store 1 block away from the hotel, I picked up snacks and drinks there to bring back to the room on a daily basis. I plan to stay at the same hotel the next time I travel to Paris for Business.
“Good hotel close to zenith”
Hotel la villette is in a good location to access the zenith it is also in easy reach of the metro station port de pantin which you can then access the city centre. Staff were pleasant and welcoming room was basic but very comfortable. Only negative was the breakfast was expensive if not included in the room price And there was not any tea making facilities in room. Would stay again and would recommend
“Metro mover”
Rooms comfortable and large for Paris standards. Service is more of a 3 start hotel than a 4 stars. If you want space, comfort and don't mind been farther away from tourist sites this is a good choice. Is right next to metro station and you'll be at least 30 minutes from most attractions.
“Not impressed with this hotel. Would not go back.”
The hotel staff was not very helpful. Only one night clerk was helpful. Took two days to repair the closet door whichwas broken upon arrival. Took one day to replace two light bulbs. Had to ask for towels and cleaning staff ate our snacks. The night staff called and woke us up four times our first night saying we were in the wrong room.
