“excellent value for money, clean modern room.”
One of the best budget hotels we've stayed in! Both the room and it's bathroom were very clean and modern, excellent value for money!! Situated on a nice (not seedy street) within easy walking distance of cafes and restaurants in Montmartre.
“Nice stay in a budget hotel”
This is def a budget hotel if you couldn't tell from the cheap price per night. As long as you realize that going in you'll be fine. The staff were extremely friendly and went out of their way to help me. There is def so wear & tear showing in the stairwell, etc but the room was clean, had a tv and free wifi. It's located extremely close to the metro, the pigalle stop, which is on the 2 & 12 lines so it's easy to get anywhere without too much hassle. It's a few blocks down from the moulin rouge so the main strip is mostly strip clubs and sex shops but it's on a quiet side street and as a young, female traveling alone I felt safe staying here. Be warned tho, my room was on the fifth floor which was 90 stairs up a spiral staircase which may be a prob depending on how much luggage you were lugging around. I would def stay here again. So long as you realize it's a budget place and don't expect any frills I'd recommend staying here.
“Satisfait”
“You get what you pay for in overpriced Paris”
Hotels in Paris are extremely expensive, but since I managed to find quality hotels in every other city for a reasonable price I thought Luxelthe wouldn't be so bad. Sure, it's very close to the train station, but that's about as good as it gets. The hotel is very dingy and looks like a hostel. There are no elevators so you must drag your bags up narrow, poorly lit steps. There was no soap or other amenities (no fridge, AC, or even a hot pot), but we did have an awfully placed hairdryer that kept falling off the wall and turning on and the towels were as rough as sand paper. Although they don't tell you, they want you to leave your key with them. I'm not sure why since they have a spare. I like privacy, and I prefer to not have anyone clean my rooms while traveling. There was no "Do Not Disturb'" sign; I had to make my own and stick it in the door (they don't have handles to make a proper door hanger) and everyday the maid would take it and throw it away. The first day, they came in and left our window open, which is really nice since you can literally jump from the open stairwell window into our room. The room above us had an extremely loud and squeaky floor so you could hear EVERY motion going on upstairs all day. I could even here someone yawn. Needless to say, I didn't sleep well here. The staff was not very friendly or helpful and spoke very little English if at all. I would skip this place entirely and pinch your pennies elsewhere.
